I had very little ammo yesterday,had no Handies or Rossies but had quite a few Axis, Americans, Remington 700's 770's even the 700 BDL.  .223,.308,.30-06,.270....no more ARs or Henry .22s

I've seen a catalog at the Wal Mart sporting goods counter with guns that they may not carry but will order. It has been a while but I have seen them at several different Wal Mart stores. You have to ask for it. I never thought about looking for a Handi rifle in their catalog.

I've bought several Handi's through that catalog.  A few pistols as well.  That's how I got my 460 Smith.

Wal-Mart is a private profit making business. They will sell what makes a profit. If local legal and economic conditions make something unprofitable so be it. Good-bye.
Sometimes the local red tape involved in jumping through the hoops in order to sell legally is more damn trouble and cost than it is worth. Don't blame the vendor. Blame the damned politicians WE elected.

No firearms sales at my local wm. Be interesting to see if that changes. I might bring that price list in to see if they will special order for me. I wonder what their prices are like. And besides, buying a firearm at a big box store around here is now a bucket list item; run with bulls in Pomplona, get escorted out to the curb in front of a wm for buying a 39A.  I'm gonna have my son take pictures.


How things change, huh? I remember in the late 80s there was a Woolworth's in downtown crossing Boston, and in front of the sporting goods/ammo counter (up the escalator) there was a barrel of old surplus rifles (mosins?)muzzle down, there for purchase.

Local WM has a 270 Win. with a no name scope for 199.00 I don't need a 270 Win. but I do need a SB2 frame. Looks like a cheap way to get one.
