Who has a Big Boy 45, 44, 357?

I have been looking at these lately.  They look really nice, but a bit on the heavy side.  I think I need one.

I have the .357 Big Boy and really like it. It does well with 180g reloads. The one odd thing it the first several shots at the range are way off target, but after that it is right on.

That would be kind of a pain when hunting. Maybe don't clean it as it sounds like it prefers a fouled barrel.

Sounds like a temp problem to me.  I've been kicking around the idea of getting one of these.

I have six Henry lever actions... an H001T, H001TM, H004 and H004Y and two Big Boys in .357 and .44... they are among my favoirte weapons... the Big Boys are a stocky gun, but they feel sooo good in the hand, at carry or shoulder... and the action is incredibly smooth... you are right... You DO NEED one!!!

Bought one in .357 no regrets, plus made in the good ole USA  which is icing on the cake. I hope you have a progressive press cause you can sure go through the ammo :o

Just bought this one yesterday. It is a .44 mag but I have no ammo yet so it will have to wait to get shot. The other poster is right, this gun feels so good in the hand and shoulders very well. It just feels natural. I have a .357 Marlin 1894 and needed to get me a .44 of some sort so  I looked at a Rossi .44 but it just felt too small. This Henry was a lot more $ but I think it is worth it.

I have a BB steel in 45 Colt. Nice Gun !   Mechanically it’s really similar to the Marlin but it does weigh a bit more. Mine has 1 - 16 twist and that’s a big reason I wanted it over the 44 mag in the same gun. So if your a handloader you can play with big long heavy bullets and this will stabilize them.
On mine I have a fixed 4 X scope and
with my failing vision with only 4 X a 6 inch circle looks like a dot at a 100 yards .
With my handloads I have shot groups of 1 3/8” @ 100 and feel it would probably do better.
I have Savage 99’s, Win 94’s , and Marlins and think the Henry might be the best of them.
