357 Mag Barrel Availability?
« on: March 11, 2013, 01:39:02 PM »
I recently got an email (and lost it ::) sorry) from someone looking for a barrel to rechamber to .357 Maximum. Are these barrels still available from the factory through the BAP? Anyone get one recently?

Thanks, Dinny

Apparently they are out of the .357 barrels for the accessory barrel program... but I just bought a new .357 gun... are there none available out your way? You could part out the rest, if you only want the barrel.

I haven't spoke to anyone from CS yet, so this is news to me. Hopefully they get a few more made sometime soon. The longer they go without offering them, the longer the backlog will get.

Thanks, Dinny

I called CS this week and the guy I talked to said they were back in stock.  I don't remember his name.  My frame hasn't come in yet so I may miss out.

I bought a new 357 Handi a little while back... haven't even taken it out of the box yet. :-\  Got a new Ruger American too... haven't taken that one out of the box yet either.
One of these days if I get bored maybe I'll shoot 'em.

There's a complete rifle in the classifieds scoped at a good price.  Somebody needs to go grab it.
