I recently paid $50 per thousand primers and $30 per lb of powder.  So your $80 offer was decent, even though he only had 700 primers.  Most good shop owners aren't gouging, but prices are up.

Well, I felt all he was doing was gouging. Maybe he wasn't. Justa gut feeling on my part.  Did not buy and found a real deal.  Lucky me.  You guys send me a check and I'll go pick it up for ya. :P
Thanks, Jer

Lets face it, unless you are #1- a professional that uses firearms to make your living in some way- competitive shooter, security guard etc, , or #2- an idiot that shot his last round at a pop bottle in the back yard and is totally out of ammo, you don't actually "need" ammo or components. You should be able to substitute and take conservation measures and get through OK. If you have waited this long to panic you are way too late anyway, better buy some archery equipment.

I really don't see how this is this hard?  I don't "need" anything. I wanted them. Decided to not buy from one and bought from another. Just like my HSA account, I chose to look elsewhere. Contribute something constructive or positive to people that are new to the game.  I (we) don't need your criticism.  I realize I am a little late to find items for the low prices of yesterday.  Thanks again to the positive people on here.
Thanks, Jer

One has to really question the "internet market" . Yes some primers are going for $75-$100 but the number of sales being made at that price are pretty limited so I'm not sure it's a true reflection of market price. I'm hearing more and more stories of private sale in the 40-$45 range. Enough stories to indicate that is the true market price right now..... 2 guys buying at $100 while 98 are buying at $45 does not make $100 the market price.
Just another worthless opinion!!

Exactly. Really all I thought I would get was 1."That's too high" 2."That's about what some people are asking".  I see that some, like any message board, feel the need to be a smart one to the newbies.  I have 2 in mind. The rest are very good to interact with.
Thanks, Jer

Ha! ;D  Yes, that would be great! I say go with $25 again.  Just so we all know. There are some of my guns that I would have to sell at a gouge price if I were to sell them.  But our guns are sentimental, in a way, right. Difference to me is the bad business aspect of it all.  I guess we all have our differences.
Thanks, Jer

A guy is looking for some steak and he walks into a butcher shop.
As he pays for his steaks, he tells the butcher "Man your prices are high!  The guy across the street only charges half of what you charge!!"

The butcher asks, "Why didn't you buy steaks across the street?"

"Well, he's out of them right now", the man replies.

The butcher smiles and says, "When I don't have any to sell, I'm at half price too."
Just my Awf Hand comments...
