Getting my new 223 Ultra Varmint!!!!
« on: February 18, 2004, 04:09:58 PM »
Well I just completed a straight swap of my Marlin 336C in 35 Rem for a new 223 Ultra Varmint.        Now all I have to do is wait 10 days ( :( Stupid CA law :( ) and get a scope and I'm all set to go to the range.

Handi,
Congrats on your new rifle. That Ultra Varmints a really good gun. That's the way I get a lot of my guns. Sell, trade, and get involved in something new. I have a Taurus 92 that's looking a lot like another rifle. The problem is, I need to get caught up to the ones I already have. Getting the right loads worked up, scopes and sights, slings, when you buy a gun, your still only half way there.

Blue
I know the feeling.  That was one reason for getting rid of the 35.  Too many calibers.

On the other hand a 30-06 barrel is definitly in the future for this one and a 45-70 sure sounds nice.  Had one of those before.  It's fun to get kicked hard!

Congrats...I still haven't gotten the chance to get out and shoot my new UV 223 because of the weather.  Once the snow melts a little I plan on shooting a lot.
