Been layed up for couple weeks now since they found cancer in my colon. So any spring trapping for me isn't going to happen. It's also cutting into my spring walleye fishing, which I ususally do anyway but I'll most likely have to sit out also.  Doc kicked me out of the hospital yeasterday and said I was officailly a cancer survivor. Last night was really rough and I thought I was going to have to go back to the hospital in the wee hours. Got over the hump and I'm up moving again today. Nights were harder even when I was in the hospital so I'm hoping last night was just a fluke. I have one more surgery in 2 to 3 months depending on how I heal. Unless they bore me to death sitting around so much. I should be able to make some summer roudies and be ready to tear up some ground next fall.

Thanks everybody for the prayers and best wishes I'm feeling better every day.
Lee
I sure wish we had weasels here in numbers that made it worth catching a few. I know there are some around just few and far between. Last time I put out a few traps just for gins all I did was try to wipe out the mouse population.  The only weasel I've ever caught stumble in to a light triggered 1 1/2 set for coon. That was many years ago and in October so he is brown. I did get him mounted so still have him here. Once I get retired and have more steady time off in the fall. I'm going to spend some late fall time at my trailer more north of here. There I should be able to find and add some white weasels to my mounts.

Mac there are more weasels around than you think.   I mentored a fella that i taught  to trap and cable yotes  on weasels.  The fellow said i never saw any weasels around........ to make it short  he caught 31 weasels this winter in two weeks....The right spots help  alot and of course he used Lenons Weasel  lure...lol..... you can catch weasels with out lure but im sure it helped him some.

Headin out later this morning for rats and beaver.  Took a week off from work to clear the head.  Ice has finally came off the creeks.
Should be fun!

Hit 50 here the last couple days, though we had rain and snow yesterday.
Sherppa, glad you got a few beaver. You may want to ask Tony to come and skin for you. He is running 50 castor mounds in his dreams---but didn't talk about any catches.
