  Ohio school shooter TJ Lane arrived at his sentencing hearing today wearing a blue button down shirt. After he sat down, he unbuttoned the shirt to reveal a white t-shirt with the word "killer" emblazoned across the front in black marker.
When Lane was given the opportunity to make a statement to the court, he made a short statement and then stuck his middle finger up in the courtroom filled with the loved ones of the three students he gunned down.
 
Lane, 18, smirked and smiled as family members of his victims called him "repulsive" and hoped for him to be locked up in a cage "like an animal" for the rest of his life.
"Frankly, I wasn't prepared for this," the prosecutor said moments after Lane's gesture. He said the action was proof that Lane is a "disgusting human being."

The judge sentenced Lane to life imprisonment without parole. Lane chuckled at the sentence.
 
Lane killed three students during a Feb. 27, 2012 rampage at Chardon High School. Daniel Parmertor, 16, Demetrius Hewlin, 16, and Russell King Jr., 17, were all killed. When he was captured a short time later he was wearing a grey shirt with the word "killer" written on the front.
 
Lane's defense attorney told the court that he "strongly urged" Lane not say what he was about to the court, but Lane proceeded anyway.
Lane smiled as a mother who lost her son said she is cynical now and devastated. She wished an "extremely slow, torturous death" for him.
"You don't deserve to take another breath while my 16-year-old son Danny lies in the cold, hard ground," Daniel Parmertor's mother said.
Lane plead guilty on Feb. 26 and faces life in prison.

Another good case for the death penalty. The only positive way to prevent a monster from repeating such an act.  You take a life in cold blood, you give up the right to live and perhaps take another. Justice has not been served to the victims families imo!

Thats a shame. A big bad boy like that should go into gen pop and show everybody how bad he really is, oh yes, let him wear his shirt.  I have ZERO tolerance for punks. POWDERMAN.

This happened 20 minutes from me. It is a big topic on local talk radio. The sheriff cant really explain how this little demon got so much unsupervised time with a pen in order to make the "killer" shirt. The judge claims he didnt see the demon take his shirt off and that he couldnt read what the demon had scrawled on the shirt. The defending attorney claims he asked the demon not to do it. All bologna in my opinion. All of these local officials wanted to milk this for every possible second of national lime light they could get. He had already been found guilty and this was a sentence hearing. He should have been brought into the courtroom in a jail jump suit and shackles and not in street clothes. It would have been very demeaning too because this Sherriff used to make the male  inmates wear pink striped jump suits. I dont know if he still does that or not.  And also why was he allowed to address the families of his victims? I sincerely hope he gets what he really deserves and that he gets it sooner rather than later.

He doesn't deserve to be executed... he deserves what he's got coming to him. After he gets "passed around" a few times by the boys in prison he'll wish he was dead.

Good point. If he is killed his suffering will be over quick. He deserves a long life of misery. Perhaps an inmate will shank him the day before some asshat judge decides he has paid his debt and moves to release him.
