H&R turkey gun with 41 inch barrel
« on: March 19, 2013, 02:58:02 PM »
This just blew my mind. I'm not sure why you would even want this, but that being said ive never even seen a shotgun with a 41 inch barrel it's ridiculous.

Looks like one of those Metro Shotgun barrels....basically a super long choke extension .......advertised as lowering decibels at the muzzle to the level of a car door shutting...... also supposed to give super tight groups..........after looking at it I think I could brain a bird with the barrel after calling him in... :o

Other then being a good conversational piece, I don't see any reason to own it.

Looks like a competition turkey shoot gun to me. I sure wouldn't want to carry it in the woods

Call me the oddball here, but having a 42" barreled .32 caliber muzzle loader--and liking it very much, this H&R doesn't seem bad at all.  In fact, I would actually love to have it IF I had the cash for it.

That is for a "turkey shoot" not "turkey hunting".

yep definately a turkey shoot gun. i have seen rem 870 with 60 inch barrels. I also have a H&R 10 ga with a 36 inch full choke barrel. you need shooting sticks to hold it up. Planning on using it during turkey season next month......  number 5's are quite deadly at 40 yards and that barrel. although it looks like artillery went off from the blind when you touch her off, and :o  and if you are using a tent. DO NOT, I REPEAT, Do not set on a 5 gallon bucket or a folding chair when shooting that B$%$

also learned that if you are shooting from a setting position in a two man kayak (with noone else in the boat, that you make sure the front of the board is pointing in the direction of the shot, and not at ANY angle. Ever see one of the battle ships firing the 16 inch guns :-[ got nothing on that old girl 8)

Me and that d#$@ gun have sure had our problems in the past, and she always wins ;D  but she also brings home the birds....
