Buffalo Classic questions
« on: March 21, 2013, 08:36:40 AM »
I found a Buffalo Classic in a local gunshop  today and had a few questions.  All of you guys that own one how is the finish on the frame? I know it is color cased , but it looks like the frame was not polished before the finish. What is the average price for one these days?

Frame isn't color case hardened, it's a fake case coloring, very easily removed. Some look a lot better than others, I have several, only a couple look good and nothing like a vintage case color hardened cast iron H&R frame.  I bought a used BC frame that had a bunch of scratches, so I sanded it off with 1500 wet/dry to reblue, the scratches weren't deep at all, just through the finish, not in the metal at all. You can look through the H&R classifieds for those that have sold before, we don't remove listings, they sell for $275-$375 or so usually.
