Smith and Wesson model 2 single action .38 revolver
« on: March 24, 2013, 04:56:40 PM »
Can anyone tell me if the Smith and Wesson model 2 single action .38 revolver was chambered for black powder cartridges or smokeless powder cartridges? I'm thinking black powder only.

I have a No1 and shoot the factory 38 S&W loads out of it.  The factory loads are designed for the old and weak guns from the late 1870 to 1920's

Thanks. A friend just recieved one from his grandpa and I figure it was chambered for black powder and was worried as he said he was shooting modern loads in it.
