Dad was a pack rat there is no telling where he got all this junk . Some of its cool but the odds and
ends stuff like the mags that no one knows what they fit need to be tossed in the scrap iron .
Oh one of these Lugers is called a nambo, is that who made it ?
What's a stoner 63 ? There is a barrel here for one of those still in the wrapper and a bipod .
And why did Cadillac get involved in making barrels for that gun ? 
Lots of questions I wish you guys would help me with all this stuff .

   So Dad was a "pack rat"?  You will likely be running into small surprises every so often...I hope thay are all pleasant..
 
  The Stoner 63 was an early self loader designed by Eugene Stoner before he gained fame with the M16.  The Stoner 63 is likely to be chambered for the 7.62X51 round ..basically a .308
 
   The pistols are likely not Lugers or any direct relation to them.  They are probably Japanese Nambu pistols (WW2 sidearm).  Not armament works of art..but quite collectable and with ammo will work in a pinch.  Hope that helps..

Thanks guys I spent the better part of the evening looking this stuff up .
Two of the pistols are Lugers and the other one is that Japanese pistol , it was the grip angle that
threw me . Another guy on a gun forum emailed me and it appears the magazines are pretty
valuable . And very hard to find.  Dad picked them up in the 70s as being collectible .
That other guy explained the wooden holsters but the one for the high power is missing a part
according to him which isn't unusual with those . Dad had a C&R and collected a lot of the old
western stuff but with the exception of a colt I wanted my brothers pretty well cleaned that stuff
out . But I got them in the end , there is a Winchester 1896 sporter rifle here in 348 that has a
ser# below five . That's right I'm not making that up it was the caliber that caused them to pass that
one up . And I'm not talking the digits I'm talking about the real number .
But I was told to never post a ser# on the web for some reason but there is a secession of zeros before that number. From the pics I sent this guy he said that one rife was very rare and its in
95% condition . I never realized that old Winchesters could bring the kind of money they can .
Them colts, Lugers , and broom handles all seem to be the ones that people want as collectible .

I think the house should simply de-fund DHS until such time as they get answers to legitimate questions. The house can also cancel these silly 2 Billion rounds of ammo contracts.

As for the unlikely senerio of china or Russia holding gold and demanding payment, it would be a choice of paying them and the US going bankrupt or just showing them our middle finger and saying, "We're not paying you! Suck it!"

They would make us go it alone, but in reality; the US has gone it alone for 60 years. 

They would have 2 choices, bend over and take it in their you-know-what stained shorts, or start a war to try & collect. They will just grumble and take the hit. Yeah, we would be on a cash &  carry basis, but that may be a good thing.

Anna you sure have an interesting cache.     the Winchester in .348 is almost postitively a Model 71.    these are somewhat rare today and are fetching $2500 to 3500 on the market depending on condition.    But like TM said the .348 cartridge can handle any N American beast.

Can't remember the writer who got winchester to make the mod 71  but it was his idea to have a gun for all north American game. An older friend hunting buddy had one he got just as WW2 was starting along with 500 rounds of ammo. Another friend of his ordered one at the same time . seems they were some of the last shipped as the war was starting. In the early 70's he was still shooting some of the org. 500 rounds. I saw him shoot turkeys out the air and plenty of deer . He has passed now but his gun is still in his family.

Some were made to hold the pistol and could also be used as a buttstock for the gun .

I agree, for fighting the "government" history has proven guerrilla tactics are best. That is how the Middle East and Asian countries have maintained sovereignty including fighting against US military forces. You can't fight a major national army with a civilian population front line battle. guns will be a great help but can't carry the battle. Governments must be fought through attrition. ear

You might be comparing apples to orangs here. In  VN also in Iraq ( after the invasion was over) and Afghanistan America chose to get involved in the hardest wars to fight and almost impossible to win. You had a govt. in place or one trying to get in place.  What was happening was happening was the govt. had little or no control over the people. You had insurgents coming in disrupting things and using terror to force people to support them. America had to try to be the counter insurgent force with no support from the govt. they were trying to protect. Add to the fact the US forces were only allowed on certain real-estate where the insurgents came and went as the wanted . It has been proven a difficult war to fight several times. Here it would be quite different if it ever occurred , God help us if it ever did. You would have the US military and citizens would either align with them or not .

Kinda hard to take down a Blackhawk with a 22.................especially when they are over the horizon sending a missile your way.

Try Army Manual TM31-210 page 110&111.  Yes, you use strike anywhere matches.  Hardware & grocery stores in rural oregon & washington always seem to have them.
