Hope I'm not boring you with all my updates, but with so little time on my hands for this project, every detail that's done is a small triumph :)

We have just celebrated Norwegian national day ( like yours 4. July), and this is one of the few days that firing of blanks are not a cause for the police to come running..

So the Napy-barrel had a busy day.. Here is a shot with 130gr, with a light wadding..

Soon discovered that some working tool for ramming and cleaning was needed. As you see the shaft are oversized in diameter, but here function comes first.. I inserted a nut in the shaft and glued a treaded bolt in the short roller head.
Perfect fit for a 20mm bore.. I'll start working on the worm later today, have no idea how to make one but what else new :-)

Thanks Mauser..

My skills (or lack of :-) are a result of try-and-fail in my hobbyroom. I have a friend that works with cnc machines and he has helped getting started. Its great fun playing with CNC.. ;)

So, now the implements are almost complete, made a worm today.  Need to oil the wood and they ar done..

Neros,
I'm not at all bored by your thread, so keep the progress pics coming.
RIP John. While on vacation July 4th 2013 in northern Wisconsin, he was ATVing with family and pulled ahead of everyone and took off at break-neck speed without a helmet. He lost control.....hit a tree....and the tree won.  He died instantly.

The one thing that you can almost always rely on research leading to, is more research.

Neros,
That is an interesting worm.  Where did you get the design.

Zulu..

I found the worm design from a random search on Google. You might have seen it before  ;) made first a typical twin spiral worm, but found out that due to the bottom profile of my barrel this worked out better. The off-center spike is a tad longer than the spiral and will enter the bottom of the barrel better than a twin spiral.. So the worm is a modified version of the one in the picture.. Yet a diversion from scale look, but function is also important..
