If you mean the screw in one for wood, 'maybe'; And I hate my guns taking a hit when stuff comes undone. If you can get the fine threaded stud and can put the nut inside you would be sure.

JB inside the stock works wonders.  I've epoxied then drilled, and drilled then epoxied the threaded end.  The epoxy first gives you the ability to remove it later (if you let it fully cure prior to installing the stud), and gives a little more for the stud to hold into.  If you want it to never move:  drill and install the stud, put a shooter marble size blob of epoxy and work it down around the threads and into the stock material to strengthen the area.  It sure beats opening things back up to tighten the nut.

Tighen the nut?.....I would have used a dab of LockTite to start with, but then I have some on hand.

Hi
The tamer stock is solid I believe.

As far as the screw in studs go there are 2 sizes.  One is longer.  Using the longer ones I never had a problem.

The older ones may have been solid but the one I just bought from MidwayUSA seems hollow therefore my question about the plastic holding the stud. I will drill the hole and if
hollow will use epoxy . Thanks to all who replied . ;) Tony

I do think it is solid enough to hold about and 1/2" from the end of the butt.

Even a piece of hardwood whittled to fit right in there would give the std screw something to bite and hold onto thus distributing the load too.
