Why not give another gender a try .

It's not like men have had a great historical track record.

Semper Fi

Why not give same sex marriage a try ::)
Perhaps we need a Gay Female  or Gay Male president  to represent DIVERSITY!
Men......Real Men do have a good track record. Look at G. Washington and his fellow Patriots that, with the help of GOOD WOMEN behind them did for our country.

There is a reason God made Man and Woman the way they are, and nothing we can do to try and change that will work.IMO! If all it takes today is for someone to look good (Like Sarah) Pose in Mossy Oak with a Scattergun or Rifle  and say the right things to be elected, then we are in deep doo! If things were running on track in her family, Old Scott, or what ever his name is would be running and Sarah supporting him.

Don't slap me too hard folks.....It's just an Opinion! And you know what they say about them ;)

If ya gotta go all the way back to Washington ..kinda supports my previous comment  :)

Nope! You don't have to go back that far. Just using them as a shining example. Go back to the last election! We had several of them running like Ron Paul, Gary Johnson and a few others, but the PTB have got most voters  in the herd mentality mode, and it works. Just give them what looks like choice and they (The Sheeple) are happy!
Well! Half of them are happy ;)

I think a woman president would be OK but I also think that a conservative as our first woman president will fare better than a liberal.. Like Obama there will be very high expectaions of the first woman president. Expectations for a liberal woman president will be far to high to be met. A consevative is more likely to bring in less expectations and attempt to gradually transition women to the whitehouse. Unfortunaly a liberal woman is probably far more likely to get elected, adding to our downward spin.......................
Just another worthless opinion!!

I think the whole country needs to go sleep on the couch  ::)  And men never act out of emotion.  :o
No they could just screw up a bowling ball with a rubber hammer !
At least women don't allow the little head to make their decisions for them .
Go ahead and flame on my feminist meter is turned off . Let it all hang out guys !
Tell us how you really feel we will be sure to take notes . If us stupid women can remember how to
write . Oh my goodness I think I broke my little ole nail , what's this red button for Mr General ?

All these little gadget thingies and pretty red and green lights that say DEFCON on them .
Look here if you press this one all those nasty sirens go off and all the men around here start to
freak out ! This is so much fun I could play with this stuff all day .
I'm going to see to it that the White House is repainted in a nice shade of pink. That white color
is just to macho and manly looking . This will be the focus of my administration ,the feminizing of
our central government. We will win over on our foes by seduction and not by force any longer .
And for those of you here that dislike Islam ! What do you think I am going to do about sharia law ?
What do you think my outlook on Islam is going to be since I am a woman ? Not anything good !

Child molesters and rapist , what of you think I'm going to do about that stubby . Gun control ?
I feel a lot safer if all you big strong men own guns. I'm going to let you police your neighborhoods .
I just hate a man that lies , so what am I going to do with Congress ? Abortion ? I was a mother
and I love little baby's they are sooooo cute ! Borders ? I like clean and safe neighborhoods with lots
of flowers not hoods or thugs . World leaders ? Ever date a woman who turned out to be a user and
you only thought she was stupid ? Energy ? We are paying way to much for gas we need to get to
the bottom of this . Palin is my new energy czar she went up against big oil before and won.
So you see this might just turn out to be a lot of fun without two headed men running things !!!

PS. So all comedy aside , it might just be a good thing for a woman to be in there at least for one
term to straighten out some of this nonsense that the men seem to be afraid to address .
Every now and then change is a good thing , if the women were good and actually got some things
straightened out . Any men coming into that office after that couldn't be letting her memory
or accomplishments show them up now could they ? Or she might just come back !!!!!
Women are good at playing dumb, men are just naturally dumb and very gullible . OMG the horror , the horror ! Remember , Helen did launch a thousand ships . And Cleopatra did bring down a
powerful republic .  Oh did I mention that she broke a nail while doing that ?

I believe Hillary will run next election.
She's already waking the dead in the Dem party in preparation.

Do you think a woman would make a good president?

To answer that it is important to look at what a good president would be. First and foremost they should be a person of honor. Second they should be in physical shape to with stand the stress of the job. They should be well educated. They should have served or have good knowledge of the military and how to use them to best protect our interest. They should have a record of sound decision making. They should have some real world business experience. They should look at the educators and organizers with a critical eye. They should be grounded in their beliefs , a believer in God . They should be part of a family. Their past should reflect a good citizen and a ordered lifestyle.

Maggie Thatcher..UK's best prime minister since WW2..dead at 87..
  Here she talks of sweeping socialism from the UK;
       http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o1W1hAho4mQ

Unfortunately, as here there were enough numb voters to put socialism in charge again after her.  Socialism can run the country into the ground..then the middle voters having awakened enough to vote conservatives back in to get rid of the Lefty plague.
Perhaps we have already gone so far down in the last 4 years, that we may never climb back up out!

I guess I have enough testosterone in my system, I'm not afraid of a woman being president. I always thought the brain made the decisions, not your gender. At the present time, I would much rather have Palin,Brewer,Bachman, Malkin, running things, than what's in charge now. gypsyman

I spent 20 years in the Air Force.  During 18 years of that time I worked for male supervisors.  Year 17 and 18 a female Lt. was moved up to be chief or requirements, my direct supervisor.  She and I not only did not get along, she started looking for ways to get rid of me and end my career early.  I received my only Letter of Reprimand during this time.  She did not care what the Regulations said She wanted things done her way.  She did not like the way I supervised the women who worked in the three offices I was in charge of.  She did not like that I had men in charge of all three offices (Military rank had something to do with it).  She finally lost it one day, she jumped me over my assigning work to one of the women she had given an assignment to.  The work was in direct support of the Wing Commander.  She started chewing me out for reassigning work she had halted for other things she felt more important.  Her problem was the Wing Commander was standing there, and he and I had been discussing why his project was late.  she thought it a good idea to dress me down in front of the WC, to show women could be tough with us tough old NCOs.  Within the hour she had a new job, outside her career field.  She was out of the AF next promotion cycle.

What I saw was all the women tried to show how tough they were and went overboard.  They took little things too seriously, and too personal.

My wife spent 20 years in the Air Force as well.  She has also spent over 15 years in Civil Service doing the same job.  She hates working for a female JAG.  She says they are never consistant, and let their emotions rule the office.  JAGs only spend two years at a location, so the first question all the women have when a new JAG is coming, is this person a male or female.  They always hope for a male.

While there is women out there that can do the job, they are very very rare.

A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.

Sourdough;
I have seen the same situations you speak of.  Women of the stature and control of a Golda Maier or Maggie Thatcher are a rare item, more often they are ruled by emotion rather than logic.
Let's keep in mind, some men are also driven emotionally, rather than logically...that's exactly why government so often does positively STUPID decisions..

Palin , of all running in that election she had more executive office experience than anyone else running. She had no cronies in congress another plus. She not only had military experience but other than in Korea her state faced the biggest army on a border.  But she was seen as not experienced enough , hell she could shoot  and throw a base ball  and the guy who won ..well we have seen him attempt both.

I find it amusing(if not hilarious) that some of the same people that said Palin was inexperienced. Thought barry was da man.

Agreed Shootall, and I am not taken in by her great looks.. that's just a "freebie"... see, I'm not against ALL freebies.  No; her looks didn't win me over..because I am a Maggie Thatcher fan.  Now, Maggie is not a super star in the looks dept.. even though she is a lot better looking than most liberal women.. ;) ;D

Wait a minute lady...you won't find my name on the roll of the Women Haters Club.  I would certainly vote for a woman if she was level headed, ethical, and had the knowledge, experience and smarts to do the job.   All characteristics our current POTUS lacks IMO.

And by the way.  When I vote I really don't give a hoot about a candidates looks either.  I looking for a leader who can avert the next crisis not a date.   That's the problem with elections today... they have become a popularity contest and popularity usually hinges on looks.

Well I did say my Femometer was turned off didn't I ? And a lot of women I see in my office I
wouldn't put in charge of heating a pan of water !
I really did have one who put her cat in the microwave to dry it off after she nearly drown the poor
thing with a bath . The men don't fair much better , I had a guy with a pocket full of marbles tell
me it was so he wouldn't lose them . After his sister told him he was losing them .
Men seem to have a real problem when the get in power , women use that fact to their advantage
to see what they can get out of them along the way up .
Don't ever fool yourselves into thinking women are not conniving because they are . And we are real
big on takeing advantage of a given situation . Women are the ones who plot not men .
Men shoot from the hip out of their first instinct . Women sit back and watch this and figure ways to
use this to better themselves or their situation in life .

Thatcher did it well, Golda Maier did it well...    I have to agree with Sourdough though..we don't have any in the Washingtonn merry-go-round that can come anywhere near either of them.  Closest I can see to Thatcher & Maier,  are  Conde Rice and Sarah Palin, but even they are a stretch..

Of course, they could operate with their eyes shut  and do a better job than the imposter we have there now.

I would vote for them!
