Requesting your prayers
« on: April 07, 2013, 07:59:50 AM »
I haven't been feeling 100% lately, and on March 20th ended up in the hospital with all kinds of haywire things going on inside.  On Good Friday I received a cancer diagnosis (metastatic liver cancer, spread from the bile duct), and on April 1st (my 52nd birthday) the oncologist informed me that with chemotherapy treatment I could expect one more year (worst case scenario as always) on this beautiful earth.  I would like to stick around a little longer, and humbly ask you to remember me in your prayers.  I am a Lutheran, and I am at peace with God.

Thank you all and God bless,
John

John, our prayers are with you.  Have Faith.  They told us Dad had 3-6 months.  God Blessed us for 8 more years.

My cousin had the same thing you have and was given the same outlook six years ago and has been cancer free for four years.

There is Mighty Power in prayer.
God Bless Our Troops!

O holy Father, heavenly Physician of our souls and bodies, who hast sent thine Only-begotten Son our Lord Jesus Christ to heal all our ailments and deliver us from death: do thou visit and heal thy servant John, granting him release from pain and restoration to health and vigor, that he may give thanks unto thee and bless thy holy Name, of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit: now and ever, and unto ages of ages. Amen.

Cancer does not fight fair, but it can be beat.  Prayers sent that you may be victorious in your battle.

Thank  you all so much for the prayers.  Prayer uplifts me in this time of anguish.  It is hard to tell the people you love news such as this, meditation and prayer are helping me get through it all.  I have always told my children and friends life is too short and we must live each day.  Little did I know how much I would be reflecting on that admonition I have been blessed from the day I was born, I am adopted and God put me with the most wonderful people and family on earth, He has blessed me daily throughout my entire life.

Thank you again, the chemotherapy begins next week, so I am trying to build my strength for that battle.

John

You have my prayers John. I have been seeking out the goodness of the Lord  myself for serious health issues. May God our divine physician be with us through our ordeals. God Bless my fellow Christian.

John, you have my heart felt and sincere sympathy. I can only say I will include you in prayers and hope for your recovery through chemo and doctor 's care. Lord be with you friend.

John, I prayed for you, and will continue to do so. Believe me, I believe in prayer. God is great, nothing is impossible for him. God can/will extend life. Just remember King Hezikah, God saw his tears, heard his prayers. God gave him 15 more years.

Take care, all the best, keep praying, brother.
