rechambering a ruger #1b
« on: April 08, 2013, 11:14:20 AM »

I have recently purchased a NIB,- Ruger #1b  in 6mm rem. and am having it rechambered into a 240. weatherby mag.
I am using a Hart fluted barrel which will be chambered in 240 wby. mag.
Will the original 6mm,extractor work or will I have to replace it.

If your changing the barrel you are not re-chambering you are re-barreling.. With a 6mm you could re-chamber if you wished.. I'd bet the extractor would work if correctly fitted and included as the chambering process procedes but I've not done this..
