much wisdom in this saying.
« on: April 08, 2013, 11:33:22 AM »
If you wish to experience peace, provide peace for another. If you wish to know that you are safe, cause another to know that they are safe. If you wish to better understand seemingly incomprehensible things, help another to better understand. If you wish to heal your own sadness or anger, seek to heal the sadness or anger of another.

 ~ Dalai Lama
"In the final analysis, it is between you and God.  It was never between you and them anyway."__Mother Theresa

Not everyone will understand your journey. That"s fine. It's not their journey to make sense of. It's yours.
--------------------------------
Hawkeye: My father warned me about you...
Chingachgook, he warned me about people like you. He said "Do not try to understand them".
"do not try to make them understand you. That is because they are a breed apart and make no sense".

That gentleman ain't no dummy. My favorite quotation was when addressing a group of Buddhist monks he was asked what a Buddhist could do to address all of the great problems of this modern world. He answered "just try to be a good person".
The story of David & Goliath only demonstrates the superiority of ballistic projectiles over hand weapons, poor old Goliath never had a chance.

How does that work when applied to Fiedel castro, Amadinijhad, the Taliban, OWS, or Kim Jung Un ?  How does it work when applied to the usual gun-hating Liberal zealot?
How about Al Queda before 9/11; in what way did the thousands of people in the WTC and on airplanes attack Al Queda before Al Queda attacked them ?

Liberals in general, don't even offer "peace" to about half of the pre-born girls & boys..they liquidate them before they are born !

Nice slogan, It has been tried with all the aforementioned groups.    ...But it takes 2 sides to make it work..

Here's a bit of wisdom from the Bible:
............

"Can two walk together, except they be agreed?"  (Amos 3:3)
'''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''

..And for our entrenched Liberal friends; an explanation of how our nation got into such bad shape in just 4 years:
..................................................................................

" Let them alone, they are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch ?"  (Matt 15:14)  ;)

In answer to your Amos 3:3

Two can walk together in disagreement if they are civil to each other.

The Matt. quote is spot on as the evidence of failure is manifold.

Thats a no brainer, peace thru strength is self preservation. The only time in my life that I ever had to fight is when someone thought I couldn't or wouldn't.  But Keep your friends close and enemys closer aint bad either.

  BBF;
I see what you're getting at, but surely those thousands in the twin towers and on the airliners weren't uncivil toward any of their Al Queda murderers ?  How about the little children in those airplanes, were they uncivil toward the terrorists who murdered them?

That tower thing goes far beyond being civil. My remark was directed at a person to person or small group thing.
I'd say stay out of other peoples business. Folks don't take bombing them kindly and fight back with whatever means they have.  BTW I'm not convinced the official Govt story is the whole truth and nothing but the truth on that either.

But we have many other "uncivil" bombing attacks by the same gang, upon people who they don't even know in most cases.
These are "up close and personal" attacks, so the theory doesn't begin to hold even on these very personal killings..
