Fastfire llls w/ 3moa dot

   How many people are using Fastfires ---on any kind of weapon ?  I'm planning on getting one for  Handis and would appreciate any comments.  Thank you,   kody

Using the 4 moa Fast Fire ll model on a .45 acp 1911 and one on a AR-15.  Both work well, and have been reliable, holding zero.  My only issue is having to remove the sight to change batteries.  Instead of leaving them in the "sleep" mode, I turn them off when not in use.

I have a FFII on my 22/45. Used it to shoot 3 rabbits once.
My only concern is that if the ambient light gets dim enough, mine goes to sleep.

I have one and haven't mounted it as of yet.  Probably will on one of my ARs.

kody,   Here is a pic of 2 carbines that I have fast fire sights on one is a Remington copy of a No. 1 saddle ring carbine in 30-30 the other is a H & R  M 48 with a 44 special barrel.  Both have the barrel milled with the dovetail and cross cut recess for the picatinny mount , very solid and in perfect posiition for quick shooting.  I really like fastfire sights, with both rifles I can shoot very near MOA groups that would be impossibe with iron sights with my old eyes.

I'm not big on any dot over 1 moa on handguns most of my shots are around 25-50 yards.

Its the Burris mount that utilizes the rear sight dovetail.  A small, plate type mount that the optic attaches to.  Sorry I don't have a pic handy.  Burris makes a number of these mounts for popular models that require no gunsmithing / drilling.
