thumbhole for birds?
« on: April 12, 2013, 10:51:07 AM »
I was looking for a nice wood stock for my 870 and came across thumb hole stocks for turkey/deer and was wondering if anyone used them for birds and/or clays. I mostly use my 870 for deer and pheasants. I may get one just to try it but thought I'd get some input first.

If thumbhole stocks were the "way forward" for aerial target shooting with scatterguns, you'd see plenty of shotguns so equipped at the shotguns sports facility near you.

Ask yourself how many Perazzis, Kreighoffs, and Kolars you see with thumbhole stocks fitted to them.

Therein lies your answer.
