I still call them "WETBACKS".  Always have always will.  Caught a bunch trying to sneak around the border checkpoints in the White Sands area.  Turned them over to the Border Patrol.  Had some try and steal horses one night.  What they thought was our riding stock, was a bunch of wild ones we had captured that day.  We turned two survivors and the remains of others over to the Border Patrol.

Poor geraldo, he just aint been the same since he was whacked on the nose by a chair on his TV show!
 
 "wetbacks", I know an elderly lady whose family established a ranch here in Texas 1879, She still calls em wetbacks, Not derogatory to her, just a description.

WOW, Oldshooter now that you mention it, I got to thinking about it.  When I was arrested for making an illigal entry into the US, I had actually made an illigal entry into Mexico.  I was just returning to the US.  Guess it was a good thing the Mexican Authorities never got involved.  I would have been as you say "Recluso".

I think we should just adopt Mexico's policy in dealing with immigration.  They see to have the right idea about allowing who enters their country and how they deal with unlawful immigration.

     Va beachbum  I totally agree, I have been to Mexico on more occasions than I can count and you dont now want to be there without proper Identy or you will be there a long time, I had to take $3500 cash across the boarder Abt. 20 yrs. ago to get a buddy out of jail because he got a little drunk and they broke his arm in the process just to show him who was in charge.  I would not want to be around any of the boarder town now, and I really like the Mexican culture and food but this ILLIGAL boarder crossing needs to be corrected.  Jim   P.S. btw anything Geraldo has to say just shows how foolish he is, I havent liked him since he did the show on Debby Does Donuts in Ft. Collins Co.  I used to stop in there for coffee often.  Jim

Geraldo, real name Jerry Rivers, just exposes his own prejudice with his fake indignation. The people most hurt by illegal immigrants are the US citizens of Mexican decent, the illegals take jobs from that community and make them all look bad. I agree that we should model our immigration policy on Mexico's, just adopt it word for word and see how they like that?

 I thought they had decided to just call them "Undocumented Democrats"? lol. We used the term wetback, meaning he was wet from swimming/wading the Rio Grande...hardly derogatory. I hunted mule deer with an old rancher out near Van Horn, west Texas once. He showed me a deep canyon and implied that's where they threw the "mules" (and their cargo) they caught crossing his ranch. His hands said the old man was a crack shot with his Savage Mod 99 .243 with an old 4x Banner scope on it! Whether they meant coyotes or "Coyotees", I don't know as "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" was in full force out there! I will say that place had some of the biggest mule deer I have ever seen! I missed a hoss of a buck, twice! Shot over him both times.

They are illegal .
 now at one time the Hispanics who were American by birth or legal means called the illegals Hispanics "wet backs" a Hispanic person (legal citizen) explained that to me. I would have to say Wet Back was closer to the "N" word that the truthful use of illegal.

I call them illegal invaders--no matter where they come from.  I heard a report from some Congressman from which state, I don't know, but he had gone down to the border and witnessed the kind of crap that's going on there.  He said there are hoards of people from India and China just waiting on the other side of the border to make the crossing.  So it's not just Hispanics.


The word must be out that the USA is a soft touch and how easy it is to get free stuff.
