I need a better 22/45 front sight...

My "older" eyes need a better/clear/larger front sight for my 22/45.  In fact, the rear could be a little better too.  Any sight-makers make such a sight?

Take a look at the rear sight and bolt-on compensators with intregal front sight...don't know if they would work together...?

You might also see if a gun shop might be able to mill a dot in your exising front sight and fill it with a flourescent material.  Or perhaps, you might want to go with a red dot sight...forget about the iron sights.

Good Luck!   ...Chris   :D

HogSniper,

I have the same problem and same gun. In WalMart they have HiVis front sights for $20.00, for the 22/45. Might do the job, check them out.. Or while you're there, they have BSA Red Dots for $29.00, couple of ways to install them on the 22/45..........

I too have old eyes, it's really hard to get a decent group with that front sight blurring in and out, up and down. i snagged a cheap bsa reddot off e-bay for 10.99, put it on a new , drilled and tapped kmk512 mk II.got one inch rested groups today with it, with the majority going into less than half that at 25 yards! thats good for me, squirrel head accuracy.and with the factory weaver base, if the reddot goes sour, i can pop it off and use the irons, the base is not visable shooting irons.i can now shot the possums at night that invade the trashcans too!
