Anyone else getting nervous about posting.
« on: April 17, 2013, 06:42:05 AM »
In the wake of all that is going on, and being notified that my government computer had an "issue" 4 hours after starting another topic in the 2nd Amendment section, I have to admit I am getting nervous posting lately. Anyone else?

Nope.  They already got most of the info they need to find out who has weapons, had it for years.  Just buying a hunting license informs the Government you have weapons and that is all they need.

Uneasy yes; historically, what kind of governments in the world had full time secret police, surreptitiously observing the citizenry?

I'm not nervous, but I can never be president - there's an electronic trail going back 20+ years.

I'm sure I'm on some Feds list somewhere

I'm careful about the wording of my posts...things can be taken out of context and edited...but other than that let the chips fall where they may.  I've broken no laws, have only legal guns and ammo and have never misused them.

For sure, be careful what you write on  your computer.  If you ever get arrested, your computer might be seized so that evidence of your mindset can be examined.
I'm pretty guilty of spouting off sometimes.  I forget that not only what I type is on my computer, but is out there in cyber world forevermore.

It's a sad thing when the citizenry is fearful of exercising their First Amendment rights in support of their Second Amendment rights.

But no, I'm not nervous about posting on the Internet.  Tyrants fear the free exchange of information more than I do and a life of fearing that something I might say or write isn't one I am anxious to live, anyhow.  So I've really got nothing to be nervous about.

No need to be nervous what you post, just use common sense.  A good rule of thumb is don't post anything you might have a hard time justifying later in court.

Example - You post words to the effect -  "Someone comes in my house uninvited he is leaving with a bullet in the head, no surrender at that point".  Now, a couple years down the road you are involved in a home invasion shooting.  Its not the perps fault - its societies.  A good prosecutor will find your ramblings on the net.... "Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, the accused murdered the victim in cold blood with premeditation, let me read you a transcript, in his own words where he states....." :o

The Internet has been "watched" for as long as it has existed.  As far as using a Govt. computer, that's really giving up any possible right to privacy, not to mention a code of conduct violation in most organizations if it is being used for personal use on Govt. time.

If one of the alphabet agencies wanted to look would it really show up ? I would worry more about a cell phone or the emg. set up in GM vehicles and others if you are talking about things that could get you in trouble.

People on Facebook have been arrested for making statements. Especially if they look like they are threatening to someone in any way.

No doubt we are monitored here and other such web sites by agency's.

Makes sense, like the case of the dad that posted a pic of his 11yo son with an AR in .22 and they tried assaulting his house.

I have stated clearly that I believe the obamanation infesting the oval office intends to be the first dictator of America. If he suspends elections or the Constitution I will fight.

The Second Amendment has zero to do with hunting. It PRIMARILY has to do with protecting the citizens of the USA  FROM the government. In the debates about the Second Amendment it is very clear that was what was intended.  That is the only reason the liar-in-chief wants our guns. If we are not disarmed we are a danger to his plans to set himself up as Hussien the First.

If the country we know as the United States of America survives the unbridled deficit spending and we actually get an election in 2016 I will be amazed. The country is bankrupt in all but name. China has started accepting currency other than $USD. Since China holds a huge share of our debt this is warning bell. If China publicly announces it will no longer accept $USD then our economy will collapse in a matter of hours.

Many things I have said on line can be misconstrued. What I have said is not illegal in any way. But we know the liar-in-chief can twist anything he wants. He now claims that the Second Amendment supporters lied about his bills but all we did is quote from them. Funny how quotes from things in print are now called lies.

I fear what he plans. I firmly believe he plans to be dictator. I also believe his plans of unbridled deficit spending are intended to make the USA a third world country. He has already publicly stated he sees no limit to deficit spending and he wants to "spread the wealth". Why should those who have worked to gain wealth be forced to give it to those who have only contributed to the county by voting those who will continue their "entitlements". Where did they get the idea they were entitled to someone elses money?

When I was a Student Nurse I made rounds to homes of those of foods stamps etc. Literally every one had 2 cars (or trucks) color tv, mircowave oven and air conditioning. Only in America are these people considered poor. In every third world country they would be seen as wealthy.

Something is very screwed up.

Seen the same thing also Sharon Ann.  I was an RN and also made home visits.  Not nervous about posting at all either.  What I am nervous about is the hidden eggs in computer programs and the government control of encryption programs.  Plus just the amount of errors generated by computers and the people inputting the data can lead to a Government Home Invasion that is completely without merit.

I can understand that, the beaches and jungles are beautiful.  But it'll never be anything but a target rich environment to me...  >:(
