Colorado Democrats not satisfied with 3 stupid laws now make it 5

Colorado Democrats, and this was 100% Democrats while Republicans voted 100% opposed, have conpounded their assault on liberty with two additional laws which, just like the earlier three, infringe on our freedon while doing nothing at all to enhance public safety.
One law prevents online training from being counted toward a concealed carry permit. All training must now be conducted in one fixed location with the instructor physically present. This only impacts rural citizens who are doing their best to comply with the law. How anyone can imagine it enhances public safety to make it more difficult and expensive for people to comply with the law is beyond me.
 The other is even worse. Now anyone under a domestic violence restraining order is prohibited from possessing firearms and is give jut 24 hours to turn their guns over to the cops or be charged with a felony. This refers to someone who has never had a day in court, who in fact is not even ACCUSED of a crime. It is absolutely standard practice in any contested divorce or child custody dispute for the woman to take out a restraining order. Not that she seriously feels threatened but just because it looks good in court, that is standard advise from any divorce attorney. The restraining order is issued pretty much automatically and there is really no recourse for the man, nor is this restraining order lifted after settlement of the divorce. This strips the constitutional rights and confiscates the property of a person who has not even been accused of a crime.
 I guess you have to be a Democrat to understand this.

It's already that ugly in some states, where an aggrieved woman can tell a judge she's scared of her husband - usually someone she intends to leave, and hopes to get tactical advantage in a divorce? - and C.Y.A. judges will issue her a restraining order... cops will go to house, kicky hubby out, take his guns, and in a couple weeks he gets to give his side.


Rev Wright was right about some things, and that part of America - that locus of evil called 'family court'? - deserves to be damned.

Personally, I dont think enhancing public safety is anything but spin in this second amendment attack. Making it more difficult and expensive is exactly what they are up to friend. They want guns and gun owners to go away! You aint seen nuttin yet!

Unfortunately some Republicans think this is OK also. This all stems from the Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968. This Amendment was signed into law in 1996. This unconstitutional piece of trash was supported by two of our Republican presidential candidates from the last election, Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum who both voted yes for this as senators.

This is why we have to understand that there is NO, common sense legislation that we all can agree on. Liberals aren't about just a little common sense tweeks in the law,THEY WANT TO RID THE COUNTRY OF GUNS. Give them an inch and next week they will be back for the next step.

You don't win a war by surrendering territory. I've been quite happy with Colorado for the past 43 years, I don't know how we became a blue state but I now know what it means to be blue.

I do not advocate 'surrendering' territory. My intent is to financially punish states that endorse unConstitutional laws. Hit them where it hurts, money.  Make it cost jobs, income tax, business tax etc.
