Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) on Tuesday unveiled a report on last's year attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, that blames then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for lapses in security.
The 46-page report by the five committees of jurisdiction concludes that reductions in security levels prior to the attack that killed Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans were approved at the highest levels of the State Department, including by Clinton herself.
The report also concludes that talking points from the intelligence community were altered to protect the State Department from criticism of inadequate security levels.
After the attacks, the Administration perpetuated a deliberately misleading and incomplete narrative that the violence grew out of a demonstration caused by a YouTube video. The Administration consciously decided not to discuss extremist involvement or previous attacks against Western interests in Benghazi.
The U.S. government immediately had information that the attacks were conducted by al-Qa’ida-affiliated terrorists, yet Administration officials downplayed those connections, and focused on the idea that provocation for violence resulted from a YouTube video.

45-70. Thanks for the update. I seriously doubt anything will be done about the negligence or what appears to me intentionally weakening defenses that aided in the deaths of Americans. I always felt that hussein wanted the amb dead. POWDERMAN.

No, the plan was for Ambassador Stevens to be taken as a hostage and and then traded for the release of the "Blind Sheik"--of the first Trade Tower bombing.  President Morsi of Egypt was supposed to be the intermediary.  Morsi would inflate his standing with the radical mooselimbs and Hussein would hope to lessen the animosity toward him from the same groups.


If that was not the motive for the gross irresponsibility on the part of Obama, then total incompetence of he and his administration is the only conclusion possible.  I'm going with the sum of both the former and the latter.

Magooch I think you hit the nail squarely on the head.  I believe the regime conspired to set up a kidnapping and then a trade, but when the ambassador was captured the "mob mentality" took over and he was either deliberately killed or they got carried away with their torture and accidentally went too far.

This incident would never have happened if Kadafi were still in power. I am so glad we meddled in the civil war to help overthrow him. Kadafi was no saint but he took appropriate measures to get off the terror list and was continuing to negotiate with America.

The first person to blame might be at the top.
The Obama administration supplied a couple thousand al-qaeda with weapons and other support in rebel controlled eastern Libya. The U.S had no problem arming terrorists to do it's bidding. Then these same people he armed over ran us at the consulate in Benghazi. A bad decision was made, then everyone disengaged after they were begging for help. Rumor has it the national security council made our leader/leaders aware who they were arming. Our CIA and other countires also blew this revolution up to make it look like something it was not. The whole thing stems from Gaddafi pushing proposals that would have hurt the financial systems and western economies...so basically...our people were sacrificed in this little cover up, it was decided to arm terrorists and over throw the Libya government, and basically they got replaced with terrorists.
So it runs downhill to Hillary...but as worthless as our government agencies are, it did not start with her. It's just crap running downhill, it will likely get past Hillary and eventually the crap will turn to stink and nobody will be able to do anything about it, anymore than we could about the BATF running guns across the border. We are actually helpless to stop our out of control government agencies...all we can do is watch and comment. Someday I suppose we won't be able to comment either. So just in case...the above is all just rumors I have heard, for the record I am not saying any of it is true.

  Right you are, Shu!  Same goes for the "Muslim Brotherhood" taking over in Egypt.  Now we are meddling in the Syrian thing.  Obama sending the Muslim Brotherhood there $123,000,000 to help them take over Syria..

She was on the band wagon accusing Bush but she doesn't want to talk about Benghazi.

  That "sequester" thing has cut so far into the hugely bloated budget..that ATC folks had to be laid of across the country.
      I guess then by that measure, the Marine guards may have been removed, so the feds could better afford to cover the cost of the 3 "spring break" trips for the Obama girls!
   ....And maybe the Tiger Woods golfing trip tossed in..
