  Stop Congress From Exempting Itself From ObamaCare!6,612 Letters and Emails Sent So FarDear Friend,

I am not making this up. It is not an April Fool's joke.

The top legislative leaders in Congress -- Reid, Boehner, McConnell, and Hoyer -- are now "engaged in high level confidential talks about exempting lawmakers and Capitol Hill aides from the insurance exchanges they are mandated to join as part of President Obama's health care overhaul" according to Politico.com.
 
Apparently, "aides and lawmakers in both parties fear that staffers -- especially low-paid junior aides -- could be hit with thousands of dollars in new health care cars, prompting them to seek jobs elsewhere.  Older, more senior aides could also retire to jump to the private sector rather than face a big financial penalty."
 
Too damn bad!  Politico reports that "lawmakers -- especially those with long careers in public service and smaller bank accounts -- are also concerned about the hit to their own wallets."
 
Each party understands that it would be suicidal to pass the exemption on its own, so they are working together to do so in tandem so the American people have no one to blame.  A source (anonymous of course) told Politico "everyone has to hold hands on this and jump or nothing is going to get done."
 
Staff members of Congress are also usually given federal subsidies to help to repay their student loans, a privilege those of us in the private sector who work for a living don't get.
 
STOP THIS BOONDOGGLE.  SIGN THIS PETITION TO STOP CONGRESS FROM EXEMPTING ITSELF FROM OBAMACARE!

 Saw this earlier today, and I was not surprised!  Typical bovine scat!! What we really need is a real 'House Cleaning"!! maybe the "Have not`s" will see the light on this one and start voting them out!!

Last news I heard on this matter they got caught"With their pants down" and now are scuttling the idea! Public pressure was about to erupt and both sides of the isle thought better not to pursue any further!
Just their action in trying to pull this stunt shows that they also see what a lousy piece of legislation has come forth!
