H&R Model 365
« on: April 26, 2013, 01:01:53 PM »
Does anyone here have experience with this gun? Its a bolt action single shot that was made for a few years in the mid 40s. My local gun shop has one that looks to be in pretty good shape for $180. I am having a hard time not going back to pick it up and I doubt they will move on price.

From the quick research I have done they blue book at $145 in 100% condition. Does anyone have any info on what they have actually been going for?

Another thing that concerns me is that it appears to gave been drilled and tapped for a scope. Four holes down the side and not top center. I am not sure what kind of scope mount/rings would line up with the holes.

What do I do? Go buy it and be done with it or just let someone else pick it up? :-\

Great shooting single shot bolt 22 can be had for far less money... do you collect these? for just a shooter i would skip it at that price. 85-100 would be the top end for an average 22.

No I don't collect them. It just caught my eye and was trying to justify buying it.

I did however pick up a Remington Speedmaster 552 and a Winchester 270 pump 22 for cheap the following day so I still managed to get my gun fix in.

Check out RFC, I've seen the M365 come up there more than a few times.
