375 Lasted less than an hour on the rack
« on: April 27, 2013, 10:58:01 PM »
My friend put the 375 H&H on his for sale rack at the gun show this morning.  He put $750.00 on it.  I got there two hours after the show started.  Checked with my friend, gun had sold shortly after the show opened.  A homesteader from out in the bush bought it.  He let the guy talk him down $100.00, that's OK.  I used the money to buy a Taurus pump in 38spl/357mag.

Found a box of 338/378 Weatherby factory ammo for $40.00.  I asked the guy if he was sure that was what he wanted for the box, he said yes he had been dragging the box around for a year and no one wanted to buy it.  So I bought it.  200gr Nosler Ballistic tips.

Got two 1lb cans of Winchester 748, and two 1lb cans 760, $28.00 each.  All four cans unopened, still sealed from the factory.

But the big surprise, I bought a McCllean Army Saddle.
Where is old Joe when we really need him?  Alaska Independence    Calling Illegal Immigrants "Undocumented Aliens" is like calling Drug Dealers "Unlicensed Pharmacists"
What Is A Veteran?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.

:o   I LOVE McClellan saddles!   ;D   Had a number of them but only kept the 11 inch that I rode.  I rigged it with, as I remember, 1904 rigging.

I wonder how it got up there?   :-\   You don't usually associate the Cavalry with Alaska...  ;)

Not a good picture, but that's it sitting on it's saddle stand in my man cave.
