Murder in my front yard
« on: May 03, 2013, 03:46:37 AM »
Greetings all,

There was a murder in my front yard last night. Thought I heard something out front last night but the wife looked out & said she didn't see anything. This morning I found the body on the lawn. The head & guts were missing but I found them about 50' away in a separate pile.

Poor bunny rabit, who do you suppose would do such a thing.  :o An investigation is in order I'm afraid.

Opinions.  ;)

It was a violent death. The head ripped clean off. Guts neatly pulled out through the hole where the head was.

Not really Elmer's MO. And who's this little foot guy?  ;D

Mrs. Bobcat immediately came to mind. But upon questioning she claims she was visiting a sick friend. And really liked Ber. Rabbit anyway.

The investigation continues.

Well I know when I eat a bunch of rabbit food (salad) I get so gassed up I feel like I'm going to explode.  Maybe Buggs finally filled to his limit.

Next suspect was Mr. Owl, but all he kept saying was Who-done-it.  Who-done-it. Over & over.  :( really a confusing case. But the suspect list goes on.  ;)

Justice must be satisfied.

I believe you need another stern talking to Mr. Owl. They eat the head first. Weasels go for the head, but not with enough authority to pull the guts out.

I believe I found the murder. Woke up this morning and about first light looked out the bedroom window and saw something black laying on the lawn where Ber Rabbit was yesterday.  :( it was the old black Tom cat that lives in the hollow tree down by the cypress head.

Held a war council with my friend and we decided he's got to go or he'll kill all the small game on this side of the ranch. Next time I look out that window there will be a shotgun in my hands. You betcha.

Go get
a small can of Tuna in oil. NOT the pull ring type
Hammer  and long nail
and an old fashion church key.
and a 22 or your scatter gun.
Take the can and  go around the side with the church key and punch holes in the lid.
Take the can out into the yard  bring the hammer and nail and in one of the key holes drive the nail through the can and into the ground.  Open the window and perch the firearm on the window sill and wait.
The tom will find the tuna and when he can no longer reach any of the  tuna he will howl and let you know he had his last meal and is ready.
Or you can make it more like hunting a leopard and wire the Rabbit body to the underside of a low branch and set up a blind and wait for him to come in and eat some of the body he left or make him a new one.
