George R Brown and the NRA
« on: May 03, 2013, 04:17:08 PM »
Went to Houston today with my best friend and my youngest Son.

We attended the NRA convention and gun show at the George R Brown Convention Center.  What a Spectacle!  Thousands of people were there! I mean it was busier than a one legged man in an ass kicking contest.

I saw Names like Remington, Glock, Lone wolf, Browning, Ruger etc etc. Every known AR manufacturer and some unknown. Also every ammunition manufacturer had reps there. You name it in the firearm industry and they were represented. I saw stuff I didn't know existed.

Lots of "big" name people, and politicians(no democrats of course)

First thing I asked every rep of ammunition I could find was. Where is the ammo! most importantly where is the 22 rimfire?  It was like a TelePrompTer was working there. "WE ARE WORKING AT MAX PRODUCTION" When asked where is it going, the response was(unanimous) to retail outlets! In my bestsoft spoken voice and uncontroversial manner I said "BS"  ::)

I was told the government isn't getting it, by several, without being asked the question. So I just don't know what to make of it. We did go to Carter's Country after and I resumed the investigation. Was told by the man there that every morning there are folks "tailgating" at the door waiting for him to open. They have put limits to allow others to get ammo. ( I bought a brick of 22, all I could)

Palin, Ted Cruse, and several others were to speak.  Met and talked to Glenn Beck, My son wore a T shirt that read on the back "directions for placement" of gun control. We could have sold a thousand of those, had we had them. He was besieged  with folks wanting to know where he bought it.(some on-line tactical supply shop).

That place is huge( three levels) and it was full of pro gun and second amendment advocates!
