Damp patch between shots

Hi all,
 
If you have to wipe between shots like I do, what do you put on the patches between shots? I've seen recipes for lube "1 part a water-soluable oil, and 10 parts water." 
What's is a good readily avialable 'water soluable oil'?

Stuart, this is the results of cleaning a bore after 50 consecutive shots with no patching or blow tubing ...

* One cotton ball with plain water
* Three dry cotton balls
Water has been used for decades to clean the potassium bicarbonate and a trace of potassium sulfide foul in bores.  I wouldn't be concerned at all trying to find a water solvable oil to mix with water to clean bores

Most that use the water soluble oil use the stuff available from NAPA parts.
I use 50-50 water and rv antifreeze, some use regular antifreeze.
 The main thing is to leave the bore in the same condition shot after shot.
Keep in your mind also that "wet" spots can create leading

Between shots at the range  with either a BPCR or any of my MLers, I run a patch lightly soaked with denatured alcohol (not rubbing alcohol). The alcohol evaporates rapidly and leaves the bore dry.

Ballistol and water, about 1:10.  Damp side, flip it over, and dry side.
