OK I give up?
« on: May 07, 2013, 11:48:26 PM »
I have herd many people speak of Profino, many with a negative tone.  So I did a google search only came up with threads from here.  I am new enough to the forum that I don't know who, what ,or where they are?  I have a feeling this is going to be a hot topic with alot of feedback.

I found them under Profino Industries.  Just curious....I dont even own a Handi.  Looked like a nice family owned business.

I have to agree, they do fine work.  I now have the side by side .45-70.  Great rifle with a small problem.....I only shot it once.....it shoots backward........When I recover, I'll ask if they can correct that minor flaw. ::)

They are well known for new and creative engineering approaches and there was a rumor that Rube Goldberg was a close friend of Profino Sr. back in the old days. I think they may have perfected the percussive adjustment method also but it, like the newish auto body dent removal without bodywork, is only revealed to the High Priests of Profino.

I think there was another (original) post. Something about a barrel and custom work.

I was just looking at a Profino Custom Shop shotgun barrel last weekend.

Yeah Kevin we pretty much done away with the FNG and went straight to the GOB (Good Ol' Boy).  If we took the time to haze you we would not be around to see if you hung in there.

Some of us are old enough that we have even stopped buying green bananas!;D

All kidding aside, we are all mature.  Who has time for all that crap!  We cut to the chase and shoot it to ya straight.

Well if my wife could stand the smell of bannas I would still buy green ones.  I reached the half way point last year and figure the century mark will be good enough.  Spent 20 years in the Corps and have been sent for keys to the jeep, and have sent more than my share of 2nd Lt's to find a ST1 in the comm shop or get a BA-1100-n from the battery cage or sent them to the comm chief to get a PRC-E8.  Life is good that way, if not we all take our selves a little to serious.  As Pete posted the other day and many of use added I realy enjoy learning and listening from all of you.

What about chemlight batteries or a box of grid squares? That will keep a FNG really busy if S4 and Supply is in on the joke. ;)
