Well do you believe in bigfoot or not??
« on: May 08, 2013, 09:38:01 PM »
to me it seems we have a tougher crowd here now an years ago. but we need good solid evidience.  i know that something is out there t im not sure exactly what it is. i can call it in with  smell of my famous bacon cheeseburgers if he is in my area. i have also heard it running towards me while i was in my deer stand rattling. i heard it freeze and felt it watching me hen i heard it walk away. i seen tracks in the light fluffy snow but it came from deep in the woods and went back were it came from e tracks were bigger than my 13" sorrel insulated boots

i can understand some thinking its all fake from what  have seen on youtube.   on one report i can see the fur jacket.

now most of the action seems to be in the fall but it follows me in and out of the national forest all summer long once it knows im there and smells my viddles.  the ridge above my camp is full of blowdowns. and its impossible to walk up there without making noise. this is how i know im being followed. im followed 24/7 like in the daytime and night time. where i seen the tracks in the light snow this area goes down into a hidden valley were no one goes. on the  of the mountain there above it there are no deer tracks too.  the deer are hidden in the bottom land below  camp for some reason.

i have no clue to exactly .what it is yet. but time will tell. with you tube you need to look closely for the fakes too. somewhere between the fakes and the real facts the truth will come out. i know our goverment knows they are really out there. its another cover up.

so what are your thoughts?

:)  Howdy! Scibear and Swampman have argued this topic to death. However, I believe people are seeing "something" out there. What it is, I don't know. The horrible smell, the rock throwing, the tree and branches breaking, and the description of 7ft tall with hair and bipedal locomotion. Of the hundreds of sightings, many have the same description of the bigfoot. Whatever this animal is, it sure can hide itself well most of the time. I hope you see one some day! Always, Gene

I believe that there are things out their. Big Foot doubtful. Consider most large critters lose their fear of man unless he kills them from time to time. No one has killed a big foot so why the secrecy for centuries ? In Va. where I hunt I have heard things and got a glimpse of things from time to time. When I was about 14 there was a couple dogs killed by a Mt. Lion where I hunt. We took the collars off and called the owners. Now up until about 3 years ago the game dept refused to admit Mt Lions were in Va. I have seen then on two other occasions , one up close and personal as it may have been stalking me. Now I wonder if some of those other times I heard/saw something could it have been a lion ? Or a bear we now have them around my house.
Also with satellites watching and nature cameras and game cameras there should be proof. Yes I discount the multi dimension stuff.

Zero physical evidence except "footprints", many of which are proven hoaxes.

Plenty of tales by people of "what they saw."    Why should I believe them?   Walk around the streets one day, and ask everybody you meet to tell you if they have ever personally seen anything really bizarre.    Almost all of them will tell you that they've seen a ghost, or mythical creature, or an alien, etc.

About 10% of the American population has been statistically confirmed to have a serious mental illness.

About 1 in 5 American adults are on a prescription psychotropic drugs for anxiety or depression.  (Zoloft, Celexa, Trazadone, etc.)

About 1 in 10 Americans regularly use illegal drugs for entertainment.

A hundred years of tall tales about Bigfoot, and yet not one single one of them has been killed (with body recovered), despite the fact that we now have over 300 million people in the U.S., and hundreds of thousands of miles of highways and roads,  more than 20 million hunters in the woods and fields every year, and surveilance and hunters cameras everywhere.

Not a single solitary body or body part.  In more than a hundred years.   Really?  Really?

  Give me a break.

Not to mention the fact that for hundreds of years, some of the most highly educated and trained observers in society, being sea captains, naval officers, and navigators,  reported seeing "Mermaids" in the ocean, being half women and half fish.  They even sketched detailed pictures of them on their maps and in their sea journals.  They noted them in their reports to the Admiralty.

So, I am always stunned that people are willing to believe in some mythical creature, merely because other people claim they saw one, regardless of whether those people are just regular folks, scientists or law enforcement.

Oh, and lets not forget that about 4 percent of society are sociopaths (compulsive liars), and probably another 10 percent are just braggarts and exaggerators, who lie to get attention.

The OP said that he could understand why people don't believe in Bigfoot, because of the things they have seen on Youtube.  No, the vast majority of people don't get their scientific information from watching Youtube.   The reason that people don't believe in Bigfoot is that there is absolutely no credible physical evidence of any nature to prove or demonstrate that it exists.

During the first quarter of the  20th Century, particularly in England, there was an extreme interest in the occult and in the paranormal.   Educated people routinely reported seeing fairies and pixies.   Do you believe in those too, just because people said they saw them?

Go take a visit to Ireland.   Even today, many older folks swear to you that they have seen "the little people".  They will tell you about it in great detail.

Well do you believe in bigfoot or not? Hmmmmmmm?      Not!

As noted, none have been killed captured or actually filmed on game cameras.

If you believe in God, Angles, Satain, Demonic spirits, the bible then you believe in a spirit world we can't usually see into.  ;) sometimes we are granted glimpses into that world.

Does the fact that we have no tangible evidence make it any less real?  :o

Have never seen Bigfoot or a UFO for that matter but I come much closer to believing in beings from another planet than something here that's been talked about for centuries but no hard physical evidence has ever come forward. JMHO

Not sure where you are going with this pastorp, are you saying if we believe in God and the Scriptures without tangible evidence, we should therefore believe in Big feets?  ???   Please enlighten me.

All I'm saying is there is a spirit world. With some scary stuff in it. Bigfoot could be there too. You guys ever read revelations and all those monster sounding descriptions John describes. Do you believe in all that?  ;)

Here is my bottom line. I believe in the Holy spirit! I believe in Jesus! I dont believe there is big feet!  I would believe in ghosts before I believe in big feet and as of right now  the only ghost I believe in is the Holy Ghost.
Thats all on Faith

I don't believe in Man made global warming either.  ::)

:)  Howdy! What then, are people seeing? Most sightings have one or more of the following characteristics: horrible odor, rock throwing, something 7ft tall and bipedal, breaking branches and/or wood knocks. And no one has any really good pictures or a body or bones, etc. to prove it. So if you believe or not, what are people seeing?  Always, Gene

I've always found it puzzling that people believe in the devil but question God...  :-\

I believe in other intelligent life in the universe and I'd like to believe in bigfoot, under the sea kingdoms, magic, and so on... but nobody ever said I was right...   ;)

I think the lack of a body over the past 50 years of people searching for one and it makes me skeptical
The only thing that keeps me open minded about it is that Teddy Roosvelt said he lived with a family of them.

I believe some people have bigfeet and I believe some people put on fake bigfoot imitations and make prints that make folks who want to believe think it's real. As for there being a critter out there that folks think is bigfoot?

Nope don't believe a word of it.

Cats are about as elusive as anything, and I've seen plenty of sign and have been within 10' of a couple of them ( no dogs}  I've had dogs scent on and track bear and cats ( hum no bigfoot).  I've spent al ot of time in the woods here (Gila, White Mountains) and have never seen any sign from bigfoot.  I know how bad eye witness ID is( have read and participated in the double blind studies).....I did use to believe in the Boogie man, but I was 5.

FPH,

We all believed in the boggie-man when we were 5. I'm pretty sure he lived under my bed. Sometimes he moved into the closet. There isn't any way I would look under my bed after dark. I don't know where he spent his days but at night he was under the bed.  ;) don't try to reason with me, my mind is made up........  :o

Some of you guys need to lighten up.  ;D your far too serious.

FPH, I lived just north of Silver City for quite a few years. We packed in all over the Gila wilderness. Great country, especially loved the Elk hunting. Hunted out of double spring ranch a few years and all along the north and east boundaries of the Gila. But then I heard Alaska calling my name & moved on.

  What then are people seeing?

Well, how bout the undisputed fact that there are billions and billions of human beings on the planet, populating virtually every forested area, and that there are tens of thousands of homeless people, hermits, and mentally disturbed folks living and roaming everywhere, including many who have not bathed in years, have long shaggy vermin infested beards and hair, stink to high heaven, are dressed in soggy brown or black rags, and are more than happy to throw rocks or sticks at intruders, and make weird noises to scare them off.  Some are tall, some are short.

Or no, wait, they are "interdimensional beings" who appear and disappear in the forest, to throw rocks and sticks at people.

Or no, wait, they are demons from the spirit world who appear and disappear in the forest to throw rocks and sticks at people.

I don't know manny, but I bet you'd take the case to prove whatever the man with the most money said it was.  ;D

Lots of crazy folks running around that's for sure.  But as for me I don't believe in aliens nor do I believe in undiscovered apes. I only believe in anything the bible says.
