I cannot in good faith and concious put this video on this site. This may be too graphic for young minds, and old farts. I will however give a link so that you, that are not skeered can witness this.

to me it seems we have a tougher crowd here now an years ago. but we need good solid evidience.  i know that something is out there t im not sure exactly what it is. i can call it in with  smell of my famous bacon cheeseburgers if he is in my area. i have also heard it running towards me while i was in my deer stand rattling. i heard it freeze and felt it watching me hen i heard it walk away. i seen tracks in the light fluffy snow but it came from deep in the woods and went back were it came from e tracks were bigger than my 13" sorrel insulated boots

i can understand some thinking its all fake from what  have seen on youtube.   on one report i can see the fur jacket.

now most of the action seems to be in the fall but it follows me in and out of the national forest all summer long once it knows im there and smells my viddles.  the ridge above my camp is full of blowdowns. and its impossible to walk up there without making noise. this is how i know im being followed. im followed 24/7 like in the daytime and night time. where i seen the tracks in the light snow this area goes down into a hidden valley were no one goes. on the  of the mountain there above it there are no deer tracks too.  the deer are hidden in the bottom land below  camp for some reason.

i have no clue to exactly .what it is yet. but time will tell. with you tube you need to look closely for the fakes too. somewhere between the fakes and the real facts the truth will come out. i know our goverment knows they are really out there. its another cover up.

so what are your thoughts?

Jrfrmn,

I personally don't believe chapter 25 of genesis is about bigfoot, but rather about the start of the Jews & Arab nations.

If bigfoot is mentioned in scripture I believe it is in genesis 6:1-4.

I was looking at the discount rack at the big man's shoe store and saw a pair of bright red size 22 Nikes.  If Nike is making shoes for them then they must exist.  ;D

Yes I do, and not because I have seen one.  Far too many report form the native Americans, and from setters that made their way out here in the west. I know there are tons of fakes, and if you sift through the crap, truth comes out.  I am in Payson Az. just below the Mogollon rim country where people have report seeing them.  Sailors reported seeing giant squid for the longest time, and only recently they actually took photos of one.  If you figure this is an animal, then it should have been seen by now, but what IF it is not an animal, but a distant cousin like Neanderthal's with intelligence. Smart enough to avoid humans, then it would be easy for it to hide from us.  What do most critter do when they smell humans, run like heck, because over thousands of years, they developed a fear from being killed. Why not a bigfoot.....

I haven't been on in a while, but I find this forum the most interesting of all.  On Bigfoot, the boys & girl from the show visited here in 2011 in a local bar called the Oxbow. Unfortunately I couldn't make it, but loved to have gone. My only experience in about 3 years ago when I can in from a day trying to find Mr. Bull Elk, a pine cone hit the side of the popup real hard. Might have been from a Ponderosa, but I wasn't parked under any, or bounced, but the ground was soft. I looked and didn't see far as it was dark when it happened. The BFRO hasn't had any sightings here is a long time, and I understand there is a local group that sits out at night looking for them. If I have trouble finding a 900 pound Elk in the day light, what chance do they have at night.  Remember that Fire in the Sky movie... Heber, the supposed abduction location is around 50 miles east of here along the rim. If there was one here, probably moved on to a cooler climate, too darn hot.

I have not seen evidence that would convince me of the existence of Bigfoot. That said, one of my life's goals is to go out west and search for any evidence of the creatures. My theory is that they live on elk, deer, and bear and it would make sense to look in those areas where those animals abound. I'd look during hunting season, and possibly have to shoot an occasional deer or elk for food. Might even have to fish some too. Maybe I can get a grant.

Go out WEST to search for evidence of Bigfoot?????? Why?? You live in a tri-state area that that has generated hundreds of credibleBigfoor sighting reports JUST during the past decade or so. One research organization alone has investigated 100 reports from Pennsyvania, 237 from Ohio and 86 from West Virginia. (And that 86 reports from WV is not EVEN the tip of the iceberg.) There are hundreds of folks from that State that have seen them, tracked them, heard them and smelled them. Many folks there have been run out of the woods by them, me being one of them.

So there's no use for you to go West to search for Bifgoot young man. Just make a short drive down along the Ohio River on the WV or Ohio side. They are certainly BF down there, and at least one of them is a big, old, ill-tempered, rock-throwing booger that don't like folks in his territory, day or night. The links below will let you read four hundred and twenty two reports from those three states.

As I've discussed with Tal before, I'm a sceptic but open minded.

If it weren't for one man I'd say absolutely no way.  My grandpa was the level headest man I ever knew. One year while we were hunting he watched something he couldn't explain and he'd grown up in the woods.  While he never claimed it to be Bigfoot what he did tell me was it wasn't a bear and walked more like a man.  Had him shook.  He stopped hunting that stand.

Only reason I stay open minded.  If Henry Wilson said he saw something unlike anything he'd ever seen before, there was something there.

Nope, sorry! In my younger days - right after the last ice age - I was in law enforcement for several years. Was trained by F.B.I., State Police Criminal Investigators and by Judges in a training session at the U of TN at Knoxville. Have investigated, written reports, and testified involving criminal and many other law violation cases.

For 23 years I worked as a laboratory chemist and in the field in South America establishing five laboratories and trained the people to run them. Wrote hundreds of reports of my findings, some of which were done for the old U.S. Bureau of Standards.

I also worked as a inspection supervisor for a State agency after my first retirement. Testified in numerous civil cases in that capacity.

After retiring from THAT job, I worked as an expert witness in over 100 civil cases in several states regarding investigations and inspections I did in that capacity. Those cases were heard in both federal and state circuit courts.

My point directly addresses your asinine statement: "you are easily swayed". In no instance has any report I have written, or any testimony I have ever given, been been found to have been false or my credibily found to be lacking. So, you can forget the "easily swayed" stuff.

I stand behind what I say because I KNOW what I am talking about. Maybe before you turn my age, you'll learn a little about the subject we're discussing. Right now, your opinion is not worth a hill of beans.

Maybe, by the time I turn your age I will still have my ability to reason and not consider myself an expert on a false assumption.  You always have a rationalization for your inability to prove your assertions. Your assertion that you are a man of science is your biggest joke.

Unfortunate that you believe in childish myths that have been debunked at every turn O all knowing one(swampman).  A shame after all these years your opinions are still so biased and your training and experience has gone to waste (some of it wasted tax payer money no doubt).

Maybe we should all remember these are discussion forums. Every opinion is valid and should be received with a courteous attitude. Even if we disagree.

I've spent quite a bit of time in some of the most remote places in North America and never seen a bigfoot but I've seen enough other unexplainable things that I won't say they don't exist. Just that I don't believe their of this world, so I guess that puts Swampy & I in the same camp on this. But what ever your feelings are its poor form to ridicule the others opinion and the quickest way to lose this forum.

Lets remember we are all guests of Bill here & play nice or don't play.

One other comment: to those of you that insist on using green ink. I can't read it so if you would like me to be able to read your posts, please use black ink. The green & blue that a few insist on using just make it almost impossible for a lot of us to read.  >:(

:)  Howdy! Whether you believe in BF or not is OK!  What we should be studying is "what are people seeing and how can we best explain it scientifically."  Even if some of us say, "Gosh! It's just someone's imagination!"  Okay, why do countless encounters seem to have 3 things in common:  bad smell, rock throwing, wood knocking or broken branches. How does imagination come up with this? And if it is not our imagination, what are people seeing?
Always, Gene

What if this general 'theme' we see with many BF sightings is something akin to the similarities many of us 'just knew' were characteristics of the monsters living under our bed as kids? Note some of the similarities reported here by multiple people...

http://www.iusedtobelieve.com/at_home/under_my_bed/monsters/

Couple of Brothers (note that both related the same details) I grew up with had a pretty convincing story of actually seeing such things and feeling physical effects. I believe that they believed they saw something; even though it was probably just their imagination running wild due to shadows of windblown tree branches on the wall of their bedroom.

Fast forward to adulthood - What do some imagine might be just outside of the light of their campfire? If they've been conditioned from a young age to believe that 'something scary' is out there in the dark, what might they imagine it to be when a branch snaps? Since most everyone has heard stories of BF for their entire lives, BF is probably a real possibility for many.

It shouldn't be any surprise that people having supposed encounters with BF often report similar details. Stories (true or false) are heard and stored away in our minds, recalled at an opportune time and our imagination takes over.

For a person (even a very rational person) open to suggestion due to past conditioning to 'experience something unexplained' is very common. Visiting a haunted house? Might see a ghost. Area 51? Might see a UFO. Heck, if you're lucky you might even be abducted.

The above isn't to say that anyone who supposedly has a BF experience is a nutcase. Just the opposite. The human brain is a complex thing that can be easily fooled. Some folks certainly do help it along in that regard and infect others' brains along the way though.

Combine the above with BF fakery/liars and what are we left with? Some convincing evidence?

 Maybe...

Well you believe what you want to. But I know there was a monster under my bed at night. And two in the closet. Only thing that saved me was they were gone in the morning.  ;D

I remember the advise a old missionary to Mexico gave me once. He had been a marine in the South Pacific drying WW 11 so he was very practical. He said Byron, some demons you can cast out but some you got to shoot out.

When you are looking at one three feet in front of you in the dark, and a different one in the open at 100 yards, and another one at 50 yards in open woods on a bright sunny afternoon and he is looking straight at you eye-to-eye, you will have to consider that they might exist. Until you see one, you can't say for certain. I and thousands of others CAN say for certain they exist, and as far as I know, none of us are obligated to prove their existence to anyone. To prove their existence to science would require a body. I would never shoot one for that purpose any more than I would shoot a person on his property who told me to leave. Skeptics and nay-sayers just don't want to get out of their comfort zone and find out for themselves. A man armed with a hunting rifle who meets a full grown male bigfoot very quickly concludes he is NOT the apex predator in the situation. Seeing IS believing in that case, and it only takes a few seconds to convert a nay-saying skeptic to a "knower".

I and thousands of others CAN say for certain they exist, and as far as I know, none of us are obligated to prove their existence to anyone. Them mermaids  exist and numerous other fairy tale creatures To prove their existence to science would require a body.Or bones or a nest/camp or other hard evidence I would never shoot one for that purpose any more than I would shoot a person on his property who told me to leave.I would not either as in might be a hippie or a guy in a bigfoot suit Skeptics and nay-sayers just don't want to get out of their comfort zone and find out for themselves. Seeing IS believing in that case, and it only takes a few seconds to convert a nay-saying skeptic to a "knower". I have spent over 50 years in the out doors hunting and fishing , seen many very strange things nothing that looked like a bigfoot or anything one would have left behind . So I feel my skepticism is well founded. I have fished all over the Chesapeake Bay and have never seen Chessie the monster either. If I run across one and I have a gun I would not shoot except in self defense but I would not feel under it either in the pecking order.

I believe that they might exist just as you say; an as of yet unclassified primate.

However, at this point you nor anyone else can say for certain that that's what they are. You can believe it (many people believe things without credible physical evidence) all you want; you do not and cannot "know" it until we have a body on a slab for all the world to see, confirming that they exist as physical creatures.

Seeing can indeed be believing but it doesn't matter what you saw 3' away in the dark or 50/100 yds away in daylight. All you can know is that you remember images of something that you believe was BF. Your brain processed the images that way for you the same as someone (or multiple people) seeing a UFO processes the images as an alien spacecraft.

"A few seconds" or an hour of an image of something hairy and walking upright cannot make me or anyone else into a "knower" that BF is a physical creature. Regardless of what I might say, all I will know is that I saw something I remember as looking hairy and walking upright.

I believe that there are Martians living on Earth.  Many many people have reported seeing them.  Since they are geniuses, and thousands of years ahead of us in technology, they have managed to easily avoid detection.  And, they have adroitly managed to make sure that they never leave a scrap of physical evidence behind, including any bones or body tissue when they die.

And although we have explored the habitat in which they live, by the thousands of close-up photos we taken of Mars, and the probes we have landed on Mars, they are so smart and adept that they can hide from these machines, just like they hide from the tens of thousands of game cameras and security cameras we have across the country.

So, my belief that Martians walk among us, is founded on the exact same arguments that are made for the existence of Bigfoot.

But the Bigfoots may even be smarter!  Despite the fact that our earliest African ancestors in Africa, more than a million years ago (Lucy and her lineage, Austrailopithicus), were a very very small population of pre-humans, we have nonetheless managed to recover at least three skeletons of them, which are currently on display.

Those Bigfoot, which if they exist have been around for thousands and thousands of years, and which allegedly walk around today, are so brilliant that they have left absolutely no skeleton remains whatsoever in the current or historical fossil record!   I guess they must grind up the bones of their dead and mix them with chocolate milk.

Here in Va. where many maybe most battles of the Civil war took place we often run into guys still fighting a yank or two in a small trench and a rebel or two in another trench. They didn't know the war was over. Mostly you run into them way back up in the woods where people seldom go , far off out post if you will. They always tell us our clothes are funny looking like trees and such.

Yes Shootall, I live here in the Shenandoah Valley.  Scary mountain folk start just 10 miles east of my house, and extend for more than 100 miles into West Virginia.

And, it is routine in these parts for people to honestly report that they see the ghosts of Confederate soldiers walking through the woods or the edges of our many battlefields, especially in dark or misty weather.  So, the eye witness evidence for these ghosts is the same evidence presented to us to "prove" the existence of Bigfoot.

I live next to a cannon emplacement and trenches on Lee's retreat . People around here see a girl in a white dress who was raped and killed or something while looking for her bo or something.

The closest thing to something like that for me was when they came out with these grave marker lights that recharge themselves. We were getting the boat ready for a hunting trip to Manitoba and worked late after mid night. I had about 15 miles to get home and went by a grave yard with graves dating back to before the Civil War. Well it was fog and mist and I see this small light in the grave yard . Now that was different. I had to turn around and see what it was. The old Confederate soldie said it was a light and I went on my way.  ::)
If ya can see it ya can hit it !
