NEW CCI primers
« on: May 09, 2013, 04:12:57 AM »
Has anyone experimented with new formula 209 "INLINE MZL" primers with BH-209?  These are advertised to meet all scenarios of gun, breechplug, & powder.  It's been impossable for me to find the original 209M cci primers.  for use with BH209 powder.

those primers were new about 6 years ago. They are a low temp primer, sort of like the winchester 777 primer. Made to reduce crud ring with t7 powder. Not to be used with blackhorn209.

Winchester w209, regular cci, federal 209a primers will work with bh209.

Bass Pro and Cabelas normally stock the CCI 209M primer. That's all I use in my 3 Knights with 110 gr by volume BH209 and Harvester's crush rib sabots and PT Gold 300gr bullets. When shooting Hornady's 300Gr SST-ML I use same powder load and MMP's 3 petal sabot. Great accuracy and down range performance
