Is this the same syndrome...
« on: May 11, 2013, 02:06:27 AM »
Tim Tebow and Sarah Palin...do all their critics suffer from the same syndrome ?
      http://clashdaily.com/2013/02/blackballed-the-nfls-borking-of-tim-tebow/#disqus_thread

  This from that article:
'''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''
" Are you really trying to sell us on the idea that Tebow couldn’t beat out  Brian Hoyer, Thaddeus Lewis, Christian Ponder, Chad Henne, Brady Quinn or  Terrelle Pryor – the starting quarterbacks for Arizona, Cleveland, Minnesota,  Jacksonville, Kansas City and Oakland?  With the exception of Alex Smith, who is  soon to be a starter somewhere, does anyone that hasn’t already sodomized their  voo-doo Tebow doll with a knitting needle, really believe that Tebow can’t beat  out even one backup quarterback in the league?
What drives these critics that seethe at the mention of “Tebow,” like a  vampire facing a crucifix?  A slow release does not create that kind of venom  and if awkward mechanics were the reason, then Bobby Layne, Joe Kapp, Bernie  Kosar and Jim Kelly would have been stoned as heretics.
The truth is that it is the best part of Tim Tebow that they can’t accept – his character.  They hide behind the release and the mechanics, so they don’t  appear small and pitiful.  But why won’t anyone take a chance on him?  Is it  merely a question of skill or are certain members of the chattering class  uncomfortable that he’s a virgin and a devout, unapologetic Christian?  A backup  who is more famous and more liked than they were, even as starters in the  league?"

The real problem with Tim Tebow is he bows to God and not to them. He didn't do too bad in Denver before he was screwed by Elway. The Jets did even worse. The kid had a good line in Denver to help him out but what quarterback won't fail with a bad line in front of him. A team looking for a quarterback could do much worse in my opinion.

I think Tim's problem is that recently a bunch of really hot quarterbacks have come out and teams are either flush with talent, or they're hoping to come up with a real franchise type quarterback. such as San Francisco, Seattle and Washington have done.

Being a Steeler fan, I saw what Tebow did to the Steelers. During that playoff game I was a Tebow fan, and still am. He has a inner drive to be the very best football player he can be, and that inner drive comes directly from his faith. While with the Jets Sanchez was mired in ineptness, but Tebow was never even given a chance to see what he can do. The Jets flat out refused to give him a shot, and I think you guys hit the nail on the head. Its because of his Christian faith. Teams must think that they can't have a player on the field praising God, for his ability, and
talent. They have to keep him from the public eye, because its the way of the world. They don't want Tebow on TV with his outstanding character and faith in Jesus displaying it to all. For the move is to stamp out Jesus and the Christian faith.

Magooch, if that is the case, why was he not given a chance with the Jets. In my opinion Sanchez is not a good quarterback, and he has proven that over and over. Being a good leader also has a lot to do with how the others around you play.

All he has to do is either come out of the closet as gay, or stop his  "Tebowing" and start Terugging towards Mecca 18 times a day like a reasonable man and he will guarantee himself a place in the NFL.

   ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D  Now, That was funny!
I haven't followed pro sports since about 1978, so I can't comment upon his abilities.. but the treatment he is apparently getting, sounded very familiar..  Then I realized it is very much the same as Sarah Palin has been treated...and apparently by the same type folks..
Even some folks on here.. judging by their statements; are in in agreement with the very same things which Sarah espouses..yet STILL condemn her, and without giving a logical reason given.

I'm puzzled by the Tebow thing, I like the kid, I respect him. I wasn't sure he would do well in the NFL. but he almost took Denver to the big dance. I really don't think its lack of talent, or ability. I wish he could have worked behind Manning, who I think may be one of the best QB's ever! He could have learned some things that would have made him top notch. He is being railroaded as far as I am concerned.

Sara palin, although I dont think was ready to be president, scared the begebbies out of the left so the only thing they could do is what they do so well, attack the messenger. Remember Joe the plumber made a fool of barry on national TV....................

I just dont understand why public displays of one faith are ok, but are frowned upon for another faith.  I am not a religious man but the hypocrisy that exists in the media when it comes to slamming christians but celebrating and protecting other faiths is sickening.

Thanks Lakota.. I was wondering if any outside the Christian community noticed, even though it would be hard to miss.
It seems thatthe mere mention of Jesus' name, sets some into a frenzy.

Perhaps 2B gave us the answer in one of his signature lines....
