Brooks 24 pounder on my naval carriage
« on: May 11, 2013, 03:47:26 AM »
Here is yet another of Michael Brooks fabulous 24 pounder with a 1" bore.  I like building carriages for this barrel.  When you hold it, you really feel like you are holding something!
I will have the barrel and carriage up on my website as soon as I can.
The price will be $1150 plus shipping. That is if I can stand to part with it. :-\ It turned out real nice!Zulu

This barrel has to have the heavy side  cheeks and a wide footprint or it would be doing somersaults. :o :o :o

Of course it will do somersaults, its a naval carriage.  Lower the cheeks two steps (lower the cg) and add breeching gear.

Here is one of those barrels shooting blanks.
I believe this to be the late "El Cazador's" gun.  If someone knows differently, please correct me.  I might well be wrong.
