Fed Up With The Feds

The people of Alaska are becoming fed up with the Federal Government. 

We want to drill an oil well, the Feds step in saying, "There is a potential for Environmental Damage, so we will not allow you to drill that oil well".  Well earlier this week the Federal Government came out with a bill that would require the State Of Alaska to Cap and Clean up the mess left when the Federal Government drilled exploratory wells through out the National Petrolium Reserve.  Those abandoned wells are leaking Natural Gas into the environment.  They are leaking crude oil into the swampy areas of the North Slope.  As well as cleaning up the broken down oil drilling equipment abandoned all across the landscape.  Senator Lisa Murlowski has said that bill is DOA, it's a Federal Government mess they can clean it up. 

Then today there is an article on a clean up that will be taking place near Anaktuvik Pass, inside Gates of the Arctic National Park.  Old fuel drums and five gallon fuel cans left scattered across the area.  Looks like after over 50 years something might be done to collect this material.

We want to open a mine, on state land.  The EPA comes along and says there is a potiential to contaminate streams and lands in the area, so you can not open this mine.  They should look in their own back yard first.

I don't blame em! but tell them to get in the line! That includes, Veterans, Indians, Arizona Ranchers, and Gulf coast oil field workers. ETC ETC. The post office is reported to be losing Billions. The government can't clean its own house but it wants have a hand in everybodies business.
