Trimming 45-70 Brass

I have a Forster Original Case Trimmer that was made before 2010. According to Forster it requires a modification to accept a #4 collet for 45-70. http://www.forsterproducts.com/catalog.asp?prodid=700220

Is there a better way to trim my Hornady brass down to 1.8" for deer hunting in IN? I already plan to cut it off closer to that length with a dremel cutoff tool, but will still need to true up the case mouth and all.

Not sure where you got that info but mine takes a #4 just fine. It's probably a late 70's model. I've replaced the cutter on it several times already so it's a long way from new. I have invested in the drill attachment which I rate right up there with gold.

My trimmer is old and I can trim 45-70s on it.
