Shotgun primers
« on: May 14, 2013, 12:31:10 AM »
There is something that has me baffled with this ammo shortage thing.  Everywhere I go, I see plenty of shotgun shells and shotgun powders as well as shot are readily available.  There doesn't seem to be a shortage issue with shotgun components save primers.  Why can't you find shotgun primers?  They are only used in shotguns and black powder rifles and there hasn't been a mad rush on them.  Has the manufacturers shutdown the shotgun primer machines and converted them to rifle/pistol production?  Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts or insight on this.

Thanks,

Rosewood

People buying for speculation and/or possible future trade.
That's right, folks that don't load are buying this stuff hoping to turn a quick buck

Along with ammo they have no gun for. I hope that as things go back to normal what ever normal is those who tried to profit off the rest of us have to sell at a loss. Like after Y2K when people had to sell off stuff to pay the charge card off ..........
If ya can see it ya can hit it !

I hope Republicans, Libertarians, and the Constitution Party can take over the senate and keep the house in 2014.  It would make Obama a lame duck.  No gun control bills would come up and maybe we would get a budget to start bringing down the deficit spending.  If this takes place guns, ammo, and reloading components will come down and get back to normal.  Just have to convince the few democrats here that republicans are not the enemy like I have heard democrats say.  They are NOT all for big business either, just free market capitalism.  Dems have their Solendras and such.

I appreciate the offer, but I don't need any.  I still have 800+ winchester 209s.  I just noticed all dealers are out of them and the thought hit me.

I put very limited info on my profiles because I don't like the idea of putting my info out there for the world to see.  If  I make a deal with someone, I then provide the necessary information.  Kind of like Facebook, and Myspace etc, people freely put their private info out there for hackers, spoofers, identity thieves, the Obama Admin etc to get access to it.  I don't.  Think about it, if you put private info that will positively identify who you are and where you live, all the gun grabbers have to do is monitor these type of forums and then they know where the gun owners are, with or without registration.

I've been reloading with other primers. They are just fine-Nobel-the gun goes bang and that is good enough for me.
