Benjamin Trail NP .22
« on: May 19, 2013, 06:13:01 PM »
Does anyone own this particular air rifle? I'm looking seriously at one. I'm hoping to get some feedback on accuracy, chrony results and "loudness" (or hopefully lack thereof on the loudness).
Thank you, Charlie

Hello Charlie!!  LONG TIME no speak!!

I am looking hard at the XL version of this gun myself!!

LOTS of info over on GTA as well as You Tube.

What I hear is bad triggers. (Fixable with a $35 Charlie D Tuna trigger) Heavy and big.  BUT good power and altho hold sensative, can be very good shooters.

Thanks CW, yeah long time no speak. We need to barter for some 10mm brass or something.
I'm going to end up with one of the Crosman/Benmamin NP's as soon as my next spending money hits in a week or so. I'll post a report on it once I've had a chance to shoot it some.

I have the standard non XL and it has been a good rifle. The trigger is poor and rally needs to be replaced with a $30 custom trigger.Mine got loose linkage after about 6000 pellets.I too it out of the stock and re-peened the rivots and its back in buinness.I like it very much and its super quiet.I also like that it shoots cheapo Crosman 14.3g Premier HP's well(720 fps) and groups them  3/4"or a bit under  at 25 yards.JSB's shoot a bit better but cost twice as much.

i have the Benjamin Trail NP 22.

after mods that you can find on almost any airgun site it is a good accurate, hard hitting rifle.

the mods can be done reasonably by most air-gunners in the home workshoppe
