Gratitude
« on: May 20, 2013, 03:57:30 PM »
Hi,  I don't post much, more of the lurker type.  But this evening as I stood in backyard looking over a field with toads croaking & birds singing, it finally hit me that I have lot to be grateful for.  A few hours earlier I stood at this same spot watching a tornado pass a few blocks south of me, causing destruction & destroying lives in Moore, OK.  After watching the endless news reports on said event.....I'm sitting in my comfortable recliner in my home thankful that I'm safe, my family & friends are accounted for & safe..  Just to appreciate doing this.....that's gratitude.  You never know when your life will be swept away in a second.  Be grateful for the moment you have.    God Bless......

After several days of rain & storms,  today is sunny blue skies, a nice cool breeze, that's gratitude.  Thanks for remember those who lost everything in your prayers.

A little update,  many folks here in Oklahoma are already putting their lives back together thanks to the prayers & outpouring of help from all across the country.  It's something to see all the good come together right on your doorstep.   I hope this good will also come to others when they go through bad times such as what we've experienced here in Oklahoma.

We can trust that it will.
We do what we are called to do out of "agape" love, our loving Father
showers us out of His pleasure in what do.
