I guess I'm bigoted, blind, lost, old and stupid, but it is beyond me why anyone would want a ported .270. I've seen them on as dumb things as .223s and .357s. Now if it were on one of the monsters Ty, Tim, Jason and others shoot, I could understand it, but on a .270, ...what for? More muzzle blast? The .270 only kills in one direction.

Pete, I thought the same thing the first time I shot my .270 uc. Was one of those deals I couldn't pass it up and can't pass a good handi deal whether I "need" it or that it makes no sense. All that said, mine will average .7" groups. Now for the answer,my 8 year old daughter loves it. She shoots the heck out of it. She uses plugs and muffs. She's debating between it and her maxi for deer. Was thinking about selling it but that is out the window. Just my experience for what it's worth
