probably had his mind on other things. i'm thinking the jarhead will recover from not getting his salute returned, and isn't nearly as whiny about this as you are.

I don't need to get it straight yt, I know that they salute him first.
I was simply posting what was stated by the news source so give them a call.
 
I am sure he does have his mind on other things, like all the things that has been going on around him and the world that he seems to have no knowledge about.
As C&C of this country it is his job to know about all the things happening that concerns this country.
 
If the fool can't remember to return a salute then I think I have every right to call him out on it!
Sorry but our military personal deserve every respect entitled to them and especially from the C&C.

I think it's funny the wingnuts make a big deal of this. Maybe the prez didn't want to salute uncovered?

  To fail to return a salute is perhaps more egregiously rude than not to salute in the first place.  It is interesting how in their free time the Obamas hire big rock bands etc..with OUR money..or go on multi-million dollar vacations (same bill-payers).

Anderson said that the stigma surrounding this debilitating illness has begun  to diminish, replaced by therapy and support. At Anderson’s side was his son  Langston a source of inspiration and pride for his dad.

Mountain biking with former President Bush serves as a metaphor for  what many call returning to “the new normal.”

Another source of inspiration for Anderson is former president George W.  Bush. A leader who is “a man of such character in the face of adversity.”

Don't know, do you think its possible that someone on Marine One told him he needed to go back outside because he didn't acknowledge and salute the Marine that was standing right beside the steps saluting?

I do think its a mans character that determines whether something he did, or didn't do is scrutinized or not. I think its just the character Obama has that brings this about. Whaddyathink? All politics aside, I think the Man has a very poor character.

Of course it is, though I have a hard time imagining the O-5 in the cockpit correcting the president. But I well understand why you'd like to believe that the President had to be corrected, rather than realizing his own faux pas.

Hve to cut the prez some slack; screwing up on military protocol may be easier by someone who never served.  As I recall, Clinton wasn't too snappy with it either.

Why would he salute?  He has shown he doesn't respect the military, certainly nothing out of character for him.
