dimensions of the nodak spud
« on: June 01, 2013, 10:14:00 AM »
I really like the look of the nodak spud, but the website is a little short on details.  Any comments from those who use them would be appreciated.  How high does it sit off  the barrel?  Any pics of them mounted would be great too.  Thanks.

I'm lost somewhere with your question.  I did a web search on "Nodak Spud" and all I came up with is AK and AR info, and I never saw the term mentioned on this forum.  A little more info please.

They make a solid looking peep for handi-rifles.  I have seen a few posts about them here, but a search of this site didnt answer the dimensions question.  I think some have threaded the ghost ring to take skinner apertures.

I have four Handi's with the NDS-38 peeps... Two are .44 Mag's and I went with the 0.634" Williams Fire Sight One-Piece ramp and the height worked out perfectly. I also have them on a LR/WMR swap barrel set, again with the FS Ramp... They are a "ghost ring style, but I modified the ones on the 44's to take Skinner apertures. They are a very solid unit. Well worth the money.

Didn't the feller that designed that one for the Handi Rifle show it on this site before?

Don't know about the designer showing pics before, but I have posted pics of mine on a couple threads.
