Big Canadian Jacks

I was out around christmas jack rabbit hunting in southern ontario. I shot and shot at more jacks in 3 days than I have in a couple years. Its unreal how muchy the population went up. We got two the first day, 6 the second day and 7 the third day, all out of one concession block of orchard. All this and the dog wasnt really interested after the second afternoon (getting kinda old). Anyways, I think I need a rifle for this game. I like the 220 swift, but is it to big for jacks. Keep in mind this gun will double duty for fox and Coyotes.

I would say they average aroung 10lbs right now because there are a lot of young of the year out there but a good sized one would be 12-14 pounds.  I held one by the hind feet and lett his ears just touch the ground and it was longer that my Shotgun (870 exp W28" bbls). A concession block is around 1000 acres, we only touched maybe 500 of it.
We also have a good population of Cottontails and swampers but the dog doesnt have any interest in them. I would say a jack here would be 3-4 times the size of a cottontail and 2.5-3 times the size of a Snoeshoe Hare.
A majority of the shots I would take would be over 100yds and some on the fly.
