OUCH!
« on: February 23, 2004, 03:34:50 AM »
THAT'S what I was saying after pattering/sighting in my new Knight TK2000!  Actually, I don't know of anything I'VE shot that has any MORE recoil.  This is one gun I wished weighed a couple more pounds.  I used the wads/over shot wads as supplied by Knight filled up with Ballistic Products Nickel-Plated Lead Shot #5, and 80gr ffg 777.  I will say the TX2000 pattern GREAT at 35 yds and the whole first shooting session was completely uneventful.  This gun shall take the place of my old faithful Mossburg 835 this spring.

Here turkey, turkey, turkey!

I hope so.. I don't see how it could kick any more than my Mossberg 835 with 3 1/2" loads. OUCH!!!

:-D I hate to say it, but I told you so! :-D I thought the same thing before I got it. How could it kick more than my 870 supermag with 3 1/2" shells? The recoil from the TK-2000 darn near knocked me over with Knight Max loadings. I had a new definition of pain!

I THOUGHT you would get a "kick" out of this post!!

Several people have sent me emails when I expressed interest in the TK2000.  ALL the emails state what a good shooter it is AND that it KICKS!  It's a good looking gun as well!

And I DID! :) I'll sure agree that it's a pretty gun too. Mine looks just like it but with a reciever mounted peep sight.

Hey Big6X6,
Thanks for saving me a few bucks. I to was considering a TK2000, but now I guess I'll stick to my Mossberg. Why pay extra when I can get the same abuse for free? Heehee.
That's the great thing about this forum. Now that I've decided to retire my sidelock, I've gone from the AH 420, to the Omega, and am now seriously considering  a Knight Elite. And I haven't spent a penny yet. It's a while until next deer season anyway.

Chuck,

How did your hammer thumb make out! I have to shoot mine with a thick leather glove on or that BASTARD secondary safety takes a chunk out of my thumb. One time with 120gr of 777 FFg and [2-1/2] oz of copper plated lead  , took it all the way to the bone!

I bought a White White Thunder last spring and never looked back! The Knight will shoot, but it is hard to forget that bastardized safety, every time I look at the scar on my thumb. :(

One thing for sure, it sure is fun SMOKIN' them gobblers!

"How did your hammer thumb make out!"

No sweat, man!  I just gripped the thing like no tomorrow and didn't have any problems.

The first two or three shots really aren't that bad.  Remember I WAS sighting in the sucker.  After about eight or ten shots, you know it!
