Here is a mauser I am almost completey finished working on. Just need to learn how to checker or maybe send it out to be checkered. I don't know which way I am going to put the finishing touch on it. I have been working on this one for about 4 years off and on. It is a 1908 Brazilian with a A&B 7x57 barrel. Shot 1 inch groups with S&B and Winchester factory ammo sunday. Reloads did a tad better. With some load tweaking it should shoot pretty well.

I know just what you mean, I have at least 3 rifle projects that have been worked on  and off for the past 2 years.  My problem is I keep buying more guns when I find something unique or at a price that is so good I cant pass it up.  Then the ideas for modifying them starts and I get started on another gun, the projects that I can complete within a week I can get done start to finish.
A couple of the projects that have been sitting require , rebarreling, making a new extractor/ ejector, bushing the firing pin hole thru the breechface, and complete stock refinish so I have to be ready mentally before getting back at it.
Being retired you would think there would be plenty of time for good stuff like building and shooting guns but its not so.  :'(

Hey Jedman how's that 8mm Lebel doing?
I still have my 8mm mauser Handi I am working on and the M95 445 SM, and I just picked up 35 whelen that will need a stock, and reciever... Not to mention the idea of a 8x56R handi with a paired M95 sported bolt action is gaining traction in the 'I wonder if" parts of my brain, so I know exactly what you mean.
Next project I am very close to finishing is the M95. I am currently reworking the stock, put on a limbsaver pad to replace the steel buttplate and adding walnut to the beech stock for some contrast.
