All 3 pigs taken with 45-70 Handi dressed in BC furniture and with a recoil pad added. Ranges from 70-100 yards. Load is 405 gr. Keith style bullet cast from range scrap with a custom mould from Accurate Molds. Sized to .459, lubed with Lyman Super Moly and loaded over 22 grs. 2400. All 3 were DRT. Love that sledgehammer.....

Wow! A nice days work. They look the right size for eating too. Do I smell barbeque ribs?

My quandary, I personally, don't think I have enough Handi's but, I know I have more Handi's than I really need or should have.

The black one was a sow and I smoked the hams and backstraps on the Big Green Egg. Excellent eating. Everything else became sausage.

Man you work fast! I was hoping to do this earlier this spring. Now shooting for a fall trip down.
Love that .45-70.

Yeah we are blessed with year round pig season in Florida. These were shot a few miles north of Lake Okeechobee. Lots of large vegetable growers where they live high on the hog.......

Don't think I can love that 45-70 anymore than I do now. I hope everyone gets the opportunity to love one too. Good hunt buddy.

Well done. I'd like to see more pictures if that's possible. The gun, sights, and that bullet. I have a 45-70 too, always looking for ideas. Shot a pig in California long ago with a Ruger 45-70, never even twitched.
