There were some. My "temper tantrum" was actually disgust at the universal experts on here trying to tell me how things work in an area that has been my profession (ONE of them) for 18 years. But, I decided it was unfair to the few open minds here to desert them just because so many others have lost their humanity. If you are one of those: Chaos, Consternation, and Confusion--- if you're feeling that, my work here is going well! 

Seems that there may be a slight messiah complex going on here. You write about "open" minds when your own mind is closed to so many things like the "extreme" notion that people should have freedom of choice, especially when it comes to their own healthcare and that they shouldn't have to pay a fine for exercising that freedom. Your mind also seems to be closed to that fact that people should be able to make money for their labor especially after they have spent so much time and money on education  in order to perform their labor. Your typical liberal "my way is the only way" attitude has grown old for me. I will no longer read your drivel or argue with your absurdity. Have a nice time comrade.

I live in Ohio, have no question that Obamacare will raise the premiums. 88%, like most figures thrown around by experts,(remember global warming scientists!!), not sure, don't think anybody can get a real handle on the figure's. Don't know why it would just be Ohio, I would think state's like Ca. or Arizona, or Texas, that have more illegals in them would have a higher percentage. I know we have our fair share here in this state. Will not argue that point either. Don't think it makes much difference at this point and time, train wrech about to happen. gypsyman

OS. YEP, just as planned. A friend of mine in Ohio just cut employee hours way back on his 150 employees thanks to obummercare. He said he will have to come up with an EXTRA $500,000 for ins now. He's thinking strongly about retiring early. POWDERMAN.

I'm glad you brought that up, Chung. Because I have SEEN socialized health care, up close and personal........AND IT AIN'T PRETTY! I now fully understand why those from other countries come to America for health care! It's because socialized medicine begets lackluster performance on the part of the doctors and other healthcare workers. These is no incentive to do more than the bare minimum. And it ALWAYS ends in rationing.

......and I hesitate  bring up this aspect of government run healthcare. Because it is a sore spot for many and a personal issue for some right here on GBO.

Nevertheless, you wanna SEE government run healthcare in action right here in the good old USA? You can, and you can read about it with a simple web search.....check out the Department of Veterans Affairs!!!!!!! Right there is a shining example of our future, and it is not the brightest!

Now, before I go any further, understand very clearly, the VA has performed some miracles......no question about it! They have made incredible things possible for some of our wounded warriors! Thing that we could not have imagined just a few years back! They are experimenting with things that sound almost like "bionic" limbs! And have given abilities back to amputees that are almost unbelievable!

However..........................the failures are too numerous to count!!!!!!! Go....do a search right now, find out how our returning vets are running into multiple year long waits just have their benefits approved. Warriors with missing limbs on welfare while they wait. Others waiting in lines for hours on end at VA treatment centers. And THIS coming from the second largest bureaucracy in America. That's right! The VA has the second largest budget in our government. They treat less than 10% of our citizenry....and they can't get the job done!

I can go on and on about this, but what's the point? The point is....that's our future, not just the fate of our wounded warriors.....ALL OF US UNDER GOVERNMENT RUN HEALTHCARE ARE GOING TO BE FACED WITH THIS STUFF! And it will get worse!

My apologies to our vets and to some of the VA employees who make good things happen sometimes. If you had a good experience with the VA, GREAT!!! But it is not that way for many,or even for most, and that's the way it's going to be for all soon.

I know a guy who was paying 360.00 every 3 months for a health care plan with a high deductable, his bill this month for the same health care plan is 580.00. Also my daughters boyfriend was cut back from 39 hrs a week to 29 hrs a week at his job at his job with a nationwide grocery store. I think we are just seeing the tip of the iceberg. You gotta love hope and change .

Insurance company's, they find anyway possible to not to pay anything but have made it to where
your required to have them. Protection racket legalized.
Lawyers, right there hand in hand with the insurance company's.Enforcement of the Protection
racket and they should have names like Lou or Guredo. But now they use the police to break your
arms if you don't go along with it and surrender everything to a frivolous law suite.
A law suite the insurance company found a loophole in with the help of a lawyer so to avoid paying
on.

My wife got a letter a week ago, stating that the company's going to cut the interest on her work related saving plan. Not sure of exact figure's, but I'm close. She had it set up for them to take 5% out, and they would put in 50% of that. Her new savings interest is now going to be 15% of that. When the topic came up in the lunch room, a fellow worker, made the comment, how could they do something like that. She got really upset with the boss that was setting there. My wife's boss got just as po'd, and told her, since she had been the only one there to brag about voting for Obama, she could only blame herself. (my wife works in a medical lab by the way) And, then the boss told her, if insurance company's follow suit, the amount of work coming in from the doctors and hospitals would probably drop, meaning there might be a cut in hours down the road.
