Dropped in at the local gun shop yesterday, and was surprised to see that they had bricks of .22LR on the shelf. (The kind in the paper milk carton packaging). The owner said that it was starting to trickle in and that he had received two cases. He was asking $24.99 per brick.
Well, then a customer walks up to the counter, sees the ammo, and wants to buy four bricks. The owner said no, one brick only. Then the customer gets on his cell phone and starts calling hisl friends, telling them that there is .22 ammo in the shop and asking them if they want some. Two say yes. So now the customers says he wants to buy one for himself, and two for two friends.
The owner, now getting PO'd, says no. One per customer, in his store. He's not running a phone-in supply shop.
Customer bought his one brick and left in a huff.
I think the owner is doing the right thing. This madness has to be brought to an end.
